I thought to myself: why not look at some of the new SCP entries? They can't all be bad. I'll stumble on something interesting eventually.

I had no idea it had gotten this bad! Jesus Christ, they're all fucked! You open some random 9000-series article and there must be a 75% chance of hitting something inconceivably retarded. It's ridiculous! What the fuck!

I will give some examples of what I looked at. I mostly just clicked on a few random ones which had intriguing titles in one way or another. Let's start with one that wasn't bad.
  • SCP-9044: A House With People In It. The color choice is in the name of the article, and tells you that it's directly inspired by House of Leaves. The author probably likes Night Mind and analog/liminal horror or something. Whatever, fair enough. The article is short, and sticks to the format of a classical SCP article. It doesn't waste your time. It isn't the most original thing in the world, but it has some nice pictures and, personally, I like these kinds of endless-structure-type things.
Oops, hit post by accident before finishing my screed. Oh well.

In any case, that's where the good ends. I mainly want to highlight this one:
  • SCP-9006: The Breakdown Of The Egg Structure. Poor capitalization on the part of the wiki itself. This shit is a gigantic article which boils down to tranny egg cracking. Not kidding! That's the entire point of the article. Granted, I didn't really read it. I don't know what it's strictly speaking about, and it's too long for me to really care, but if you look for yourself, you will see. It starts with a portrait, and at the end you have the tranny version of that portrait, and some shit about egg cracking.
Some other ones that I had a look at.
  • SCP-9002: The Bike That Makes You Racist. It's basically a -J series article but presented in the main line. It has a picture of a guy wearing a shirt that says "most racist man alive".
  • SCP-9009: "White People". An anomalous race of being similar to humans, who are basically CEOs. They're all white and well-read.
  • SCP-9105: MOTHERFUCKER = REDEEMER. An entire article which exists only to reference the band Godspeed You! Black Emperor. I could not care enough to spend the attention to actually figure out what it's trying to do besides that. Probably nothing.
  • SCP-9003: Manifesto Of An Anomalous Terrorist. Yet more bad title capitalization. It's just an anomalous manifesto by one of the GoIs. For some gay retard nigger reason, the author decided to coin the term "anart" for "anomalous art".
  • SCP-9317: The Montauk Machine. Once again, title color is that of the wiki. This one is just retarded. It has some warning at the start about Big Bad Content, and then you open the fucking thing and it's 1000x too long, and it isn't even a fucking article. Of course, this kind of thing is a common tool now in the SCP writer's toolbox, but as we all know, it sucks shit. Why write an SCP article if you're just gonna write what amounts to a short story with footnotes and occasional Super Official Documents thrown in at random? I will never know if the content is interesting or not because I'm never gonna read this retarded shit. Maybe it's good. We'll never know.

And yeah, obviously nearly every article needs to modify the look of the fucking webpage because what's the point of having consistency, right? Every page should look completely different and not even have the SCP logo at the top. We don't need that. That's boring and so pre-3000. We need custom CSS for every page. New logo, new name. Needs to be customized for just this article because it is important that my SCP-9035 article has flashing police lights on it. This isn't supposed to mimic a repository of real records in a very serious governmental agency, it's supposed to look like my PERSONALIZED FUCKING BLOGSPOT.

I can't wait for SCP to die. I loved it once, but much like my cousin I saw it become corrupted by sex pest child mutilators into the vary thing I swore to hate until the end of my days. I stick to RPC for now but like anything on the internet it's only a matter of time before it too either dies or becomes a shambling corpse of itself.

Thanks for reminding me this series exists. Something something remember the old days? SCP was way better when it wasn't lame and gay. And had blackjack. 106 is still my favorite. Shoulda kept a higher barrier to entry. Tragedy of the commons and all that. What about that one where the sun is an SCP and it follows a lady living in a foundation facility and we never see what sunlight actually does? That was cool.
 
I remember a SCP I really liked was SCP-140
A book that chronicles the history an ancient, brutal empire with the anomaly that if any writable liquid gets close to it, it'll extend the history of the culture, the Daevas and retroactively affect history. So, naturally, some speds had to do their own version of it.

On one hand, author's agenda is clear, on other the idea of the Foundation expecting some Earth-shattering threat and ending up with just one more third world stan is kinda funny.

You can visit Africa TODAY and see them dismember albinos for witchcraft, but I am supposed to believe global south apologists that le rayciss wypipo made those tales of savagery up. Daevites have girl boss points as well, sanding them down was obligatory. Also TV Tropes has more than one of these woke SCP flagellation lists.

That's why the modern SCP community completely disregards the lore, formatting, and general themes of the medium. They too know that there's no point in creating new ones, they just force their original stories into them to hijack the "people who still read new SCPs" audience. (Which is about twenty people - twenty more than how many would read their regular stories).
Trying to "fix" or "reboot" SCP misses the point. There are only so many permutations you can fit a scary murder monster and a hapless MTF team into, and all of them have been exhausted a long time ago. Just let it rest.

The only thing that's gonna keep it going is if people make their own shows around SCPs.
Lord Bung did this and it was decent but he was a lazy Tumblrite and realized that he could just intentionally take forever to make episodes and use the excuse that he's a solo animator to cover up for the fact that he's trying to squeeze out as much Patreon money as he can. He would've done this grift for several more years if it weren't for the fact that he got into some gay ass drama and then uploaded softcore porn of his OCs on youtube before deleting his channel.
Some other channel made an SCP based series but it flopped after they chanegd the art style.

The first ever major contributor to SCP got banned over a decade ago because he didn't get along with a single power hungry janny. My theory is that everything went downhill after that because they legally had to remove all of the 100+ articles he made forcing them to lower the bar so that the site could actually get enough content in it again.
