Well...there's going to be a Samurai Warriors 5. And the art style reminds me of Okami.

They've seemingly deaged characters.

The trailer implies that it's a sort of prequel, judging by the fact Nobunaga is only starting his campaign to unify Japan, with the glimpse Akechi's betrayal of Oda as a sneak peak of the climax. So that would explain why they look younger, since this is the part were the Sengoku period really gets rolling.

ETA: Appears it's a soft-reboot.

Historically, he was around 16 when he started his warlord career and around 25 in Okehazama which would chronologically be the earliest battle in the SW games. Would be neat if there were evolving character models to represent different points of their lives seeing the games have the habit of showing them the same age throughout the entire campaign.

If it doesn't have something like Hyrule Warriors 1's Adventure mode to entertain me for 3 years, what even is the point??? This isn't Samurai Warriors, it's "Remove all mustaches and beards" Warriors.

I might play it on sale someday as long as Rifleman remains in.

eh, nagamasa was always a pretty boy and oichi has always been jailbait. surprised they not shown yukimura or masamune yet or will they not be in the game?

i have a question for you guys. what do you think about the lawsuit that went between koei and capcom over the Xtreme Legends claim? is it still a thing or has koei found a work around it? i remember that lawsuit being the reason samurai warriors 4 got butchered.

Gotta love them spending a fuck ton of money on a live-action movie no one wants, rather than using that money to modernize the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series. Last games I liked from them were the Orochi games (didn't play the last one), where they at least tried to do something different by creating a unique story.

so apparently, samurai warriors 5 is getting a pc release.

however, its a port of the switch version. are there any good or bad examples of ports from the switch to the PC?

The bump in resolution and framerate alone justifies a Switch port.

Wow that looks bad, i recommend the 2010 War of the Three Kingdoms tv series the chinese made (it's really good but to finish the story (last episodes skip from after Zhuge Liang death and Shu retreat to Sima Yi setting up the Jin Regency and then to his death) you need to pick the 1990's Romance of the Three Kingdoms tv series episodes that fill that hole in the story (internet archive has both shows, dailymotion has the 2010 series)
