So let me get this straight. (I’m still reading through the Jenny thread, so sorry if my facts are a bit off.)

- @dollarhuviya makes a thread about a lolcow.
- Lolcow joins forum.
- Lolcow is still a cow, but not terribly awful.
- @thisjerksaguy makes tasteless joke no one finds funny, gets butthurt at the neg ratings.
- thisjerksaguy spergs in thread because he can’t comprehend that his joke maybe sucked a ton of balls.
- @Dynastia makes a (warranted) thread about him.
- thisjerksaguy proceeds to sperg for like two days straight.
- thisjerksaguy goes on to wave his rageboner for dollar via PM.

100% correct.

I'd like to add my own thoughts though and I feel it's something that I felt like I should have explained earlier and I feel has been lost so here it goes.

I made that thread for several reasons. I was just so fascinated by how much content the subject of the thread would make completely on her own and how much salt and controversy she would often find herself in, and when that 8chan /baph/ shit happened, I knew that would be the best time to kick off the thread so there was also a matter of timing too. The videos themselves that I watched from her had this strange WTF factor to them as well and how far out they'd get sometimes. /cow/ had been covering her before and I learned about that after the fact and there were questions that they had about her that I was determined to get to the bottom of no matter how long that would take. She had also been tied to some other people that we already had threads on like The Amazing Atheist and others. I had many set goals in mind for the thread at the very beginning that I wanted to meet as well.

The original thread where that one was spun off from I noticed that some very prominent people outside of the website were linking to this website and essentially promoting it so I wanted to see if I could recreate that kind of success and to see if it was possible to get something similar to the RationalWiki shit out of this as well. Of course it turned out to be kind of different from that, but I was still able to get everything I wanted out of the thread and more. Some of the names that I saw that had namedropped this website ranged from people like Sargon of Akkad to even fucking Roosh V of all people. This also explains why I made several other splinter threads. It eventually culminated in Margaret Pless, someone who had gotten into some controversy over the Mike Cernovich thing, to link to this website as well and bring it to more people's attention. That was my main priority in wanting to do a lot of these threads, besides having them serve as organizational tools so that talk about one other related person wouldn't clog up the main thread which was admittedly becoming a big problem even within the Jenny thread itself.

Thirdly, the thread overtime became sort of like a recruitment tool and there were a lot of new people joining because of that thread. I personally took the time to PM a lot of them and teaching them how to post and getting them up to speed with how the website works and the site culture. I had a lot of fun doing that and getting to talk to different people. Even thisjerksaguy was someone I tried to do that with and he'd send me information at times. I started suspecting something was up when I started talking about Devon Tracey, whose channel I randomly found and noticed how much salt he'd spew out on a daily basis, and the thread I made on him back in November and how he went into that thread to rate me dumb several times but I didn't suspect much from that. Another foreshadowing of what was to come was how argumentative he'd get in another one of the threads I had made, which was also designed to get Margaret Pless's attention given how tied the subject of that thread was to her and more recently it was used as material in one of Jenny's more recent videos as well. It's not that I didn't think that person was a lolcow or not or that I gave a flying shit about his SJW beliefs or anything like that, it had more to do with that and I noticed that the more I kept hammering on covering these kinds of people, the more discussion that this website would keep getting in other places, especially on YouTube and in the videos. A lot of that you can see from all the shit I was posting in the Kiwi Farms reviews thread, starting around December or so.

It was an exercise to see how much promotion and marketing KF could possibly receive and I was often amazed that there were many people outside of the website who lurked and would ritualistically read what I was doing in that thread and how I was covering all that shit in real time. Other things I got out of the thread was gaining experience in being able to manage people in the thread and cows themselves. There were people who joined because of the thread that ended up giving me some really good information on other people like Cathy Brennan and other radical feminists and TERFs like her, the Free Thought Blogs debacle and a lot more, so they overtime became important assets. There's a whole blogging community of these bizarre radical feminists and TERFs that I was also able to understand a lot better because of some of the info I was provided too.

I also thought it would have been fun to have Jenny herself post here and even that was something that took a long while to happen, so I had to be really patient with going about that. It was probably one of the bigger challenges about the thread that I had to deal with but I knew that eventually it would happen and I was excited when it did. Even then there were some a-logs like thisjerk who were so adamantly against it and wanted to treat her like she was the fucking devil or something. It was really bizarre to see.

I really hope this also clears up some confusion and adds more context to this discussion. It feels great to be able to explain my perspective on this in much more clarity and depth.

There's one other additional fact I forgot to mention in my previous comment. A lot of the time I was using the thread to see what kinds of other cows were associated with her or if the a-logs that she had were notable enough to be covered somewhere else. At times it functioned a lot like a Community Watch thread too which admittedly sometimes took away from the discussion of the subject herself and could make the thread harder to follow but I still found worth doing nonetheless. If it weren't for that thread, I wouldn't have been as motivated to make that Free Thought Blogs CW thread and found out more info on Richard Carrier and a lot of that crowd. That's why I'd bring up this person or that person like say that Buntzums chick to see what was out there on them. Mancheeze is someone I still want to keep covering and digging through that rabbit hole that's out there for her and the community she's part of with all those blogs.
