the only good game in this series is the second one. play it on pc with the gentlemen of the row mod. it still holds up fucking well..
this trash will die a thousand deaths and hopefully kills volition for good

Its not SJW its unfiltered fucking cringe. A problem the series had since Saints Row The Third. What you are seeing is nothing new. The devs took the fact people said SR1/SR2 was a blantant GTA clone to heart and tried to create its own identity and fucking failed and they continued to fail, stuff like IV, Gat out of Hell and Agents of Mayhem. Don't get me wrong I liked The Third for its gameplay (and Genki) but fuck its tone and story was absolute ass cancer and the new game is just Saints Row the Third on a larger scale. So the ass cancer has trippled.

There are enough normies out there who'll see Giancarlo Esposito's face on the cover of Far Cry 6 and go "WoAAHoAH! The Breaking Bad guy is in this?!?! Oh now I gots to check dis out" for them to license his image. Ubisoft games have significant normie audiences, and their games are good enough for the normies who are just taking their first steps out of just playing CoD and sports.

They're popular to shit on, but hell, they're the only major game company in Christendom I pay any mind to. You don't get stuff like Mario & Rabbids out of Activision or EA.

I haven't seen any hype for Saints Woke that seemed organic at all. I think it'll just do low numbers and collect dust on store shelves, just like Agents of Mayhem. Its gonna be in Epic Games prison for its first 6 months, and isn't seeing a Switch release, leaving it to fend for itself on Xbox and PlayStation.

If it'll sell to anyone, it'll most likely just be people who want a GTA-like to play on their brand new Xbox Series or PS5, that's actually (presumably) built around the new consoles.

They claim the story is halfway between Saints Row 2 and 3, but it just seems like Saints Row 3 without any of the spectacle.
 
How fucking hard is it to make a gangbanger simulator holy shit. Can't a man just have a game where he can be a scumbag lowlife with a gang shooting other lowlife gangs and slinging dope, robbing stores, jacking cars, etc. ultimately ruining their local community?
 
Embracer Group should just buy the Saints Row IP and hire a dev team of people who genuinely cared about the first two games to make a reboot set in stilwater with one l

Hell I'd gladly volunteer if it meant giving me a triple-A game to put on my resume

The freshest shit is ripping off a game from 2016 but this time with unlikable characters, a setting dated to 2022, and so much woke!

For me, it's the inverse. It's not even the fact that it's going into SR3 territory. It's the audacity of Volition being clueless of what fans EXPECT from a game like Saints Row. It had a massive opportunity to distinguish itself from GTA and threw it away with this woke pandering.
 
The game is only considered Woke® because you'll have so much fun playing Saint's Row: Saint's Row 5™ that you'll never sleep.

Mafia DE is a solid game if you think that the original Mafia is too hardcore of an experience since the OG devs were military simulator devs and brought that into their design.

This came from a subsidiary of Take Two. The same company that allowed GTA: "Definitive" Edition to release. I didn't like the first Mafia, too archaic.

There's some feminist bullshit they crammed in, but it's one scene from what I can remember. I don't think they changed too much, but I dodged the entire thing because fuck the dev and publisher.

This does not look like Saints Row 3. If anything, this almost looks like Watch Dogs 2 but without the fun and style of it, and the other things you’ve mentioned we’re probably added in place of actually having good and actual combat between the MC and the enemies.

It‘s as if Volition tried to copy the formula of what made GTA V successful, but forgot that they made GTA IV and the Episodes that were made prior to the former‘s success. Volition currently does not have that. Gat out of Hell was just them starting the beginning stages of trying to mock the older fans of the Saints Row and hiding behind the idea of it being satire and a “parody”, if you will.
