And I would think removing absolute trolling would be more important. And the difference is that I'm here trying to help you guys by pointing out mistakes. You know the Gamergate article seems in pretty good condition atm. I'd say it has a good neutral POV while correctly identifying the whole Gamergate debacle as a clearly anti-feminist attack campaign.

All I'm saying is, wiki is an encyclopedia, it's banned a bunch of people who were not improving the content or information in the article, concerns were raised about the efficacy of these measures, those concerns seem to have been unfounded as the page is very fair. Heck if we're being honest the page is clearly anti gamer gate since there's so much evidence this whole thing is nothing more than an online harrassment campaign with no real fucking grounding in a debate on journalistic ethics and all of this is absolutely reflected in the article, isn't it?

I mean, I read that article and I come away with the inescapable conclusion that gamergate started as a horrific bit of public slut shaming and swiftly progressed into a more general wave of harrassment and intimidation aimed at basically any woman who dared to pop her head up. Specifically and only women.

The issue is that the proposal is banning people who have contributed to the article in good faith to cover Gamergate's downspiral into a hate mob and isn't as harsh on someone who is presently a mod of KotakuInAction who I personally sent in evidence privately to reveal he had been instrumental in several threads harassing me there.

He created sleeper accounts years in advance just so he could continue this autistic war to prove he's right about shitty translations on a wiki, being banned be damned.

That is some dedicated, pathetic autism.

If anyone wants to, you could always stick the suspected sockpuppet tag on the user pages of those accounts, fill in "Ryulong" for who it's the suspected sockpuppet of.

No matter what happens, he's screwed if he tries to revert it, as there will be something in the history about the revert, and if he tries that editing trick where he tricks the database into not filing his changes, he's still screwed because he's known to abuse that trick, and the initial edit to add the template is still in the history of the page changes.
 
Well I reported him on the WP:ANI noticeboard and the idiotic admins were too busy watching their anime porn or something to care.

I decided to add some official sources to the crappy Power Rangers articles confirming the correct spelling as "Buddyroid' instead of "Buddyloid", so I think that'll drive him over the deep end, since he can't just revert it now without deleting sources.

Get whoever is in charge of canon to publish something official using the correct spelling. This could backfire if it turns out he's right, of course.

Wouldn't make a difference - I know there's at least one instance where a typo in one secondary piece of franchise content is the entire foundation of his argument that the spelling used in every other instance is incorrect to this one random mistake.
 
Reminds me of another editor from awhile back, he wasn't very notable but he had a serious case of autism even by WP standards, I think the name he used on Wikipedia was "Wiki Greek Basketball".

Basically he caused an argument about a hyphen in the name of some page to escalate into a sitewide blowout which ended him being globally banned, "RFA" requests, stalking accusations, and admins literally cussing and screaming at him to "get the fuck out and stay out!"

Toei does not give a fuck about romanization in regards to its currently airing shows and gives even less of a fuck about romanization related to the series in question, which is old and seriously under-preformed in the market.
 
Someone made a "Chelsea van Valkenburger" account on RationalWiki in October, they revdel/oversight whatever message they left for Ryulong and changed the account name.

An account named Ace9090 went on a suicide run and put "Buddyroid" on Ryulong's user pages across multiple wikia, resulting in many warnings and threats since editing another's user page is one of the few things wikia admins will chimp about.

Someone on the Bleach wikia was especially pissed off and claimed that there were multiple people doing it, although Ace is the only one in the history.

My God, Ryulong would be the most boring person to ever live if it weren't for the fact he's a massive sperg. He is such a fucking nitpick & I can't even tell what I'm reading half the time in these logs. I can't even tell who's saying what for the most part. I don't know how you guys can read these without falling asleep, to be honest.

Ryulong is the most cancerous form of wikisperg out there: The kind who will split hairs for 20 pages over nomenclature, and will do so to defend the sanctity of articles he considers "his." You see these guys out there on certain wikis; almost every community has one of these, and they're more of a mild annoyance than anything bigger. They can seriously retard attempts to be factual, however; you can get to the point where even if the creator of a given work flat-out tells them to fuck off, they will continue to maintain a given article a certain way.

Ryulong manages to be worse, of course, by virtue of being a spiteful and petulent bully. Also a faggot and self-appointed wiki dictator. Wiki extremists out there run the gamut from insane leftists to froth-at-the-mouth right-wingers, but all pretty much will agree that Ryulong is a fucking blight on any Wiki he visits and deserves nothing but scorn. That reason is because even though his being an abusive sperg who never fucks off is bad enough, he's also is one of the most openly corrupt individuals to ever plague Wikipedia as well.
