While getting everything wrong in the process is the unsaid element in that tweet. His autism with weeb translations is about on par of being like me trying to translate a Catalonian novel since I have a very shitty grasp on written Spanish and can use Google Translate.
The quality of Ryulong's Japanese translations is on par with that of the Spanish in Phil's tattoos.

It's unsaid because they have no reason to concern themselves with the weeb translation listed. They're both toku fansubbers.

[EDIT] Also, the KR wiki is notorious for its rampant speculation that pervades every page. It's so awful and so prevalent it makes the toku wikipedia pages that Ryulong lorded over the more readable option.

Potential Ryulong sighting at a minor edit skirmish over whether a character is named Gold Drive or Gord Drive. The possible Ryulong was fighting for Gord (surprise surprise).

[EDIT]
And now OuendanL has reverted the ban-revert. I think that's pretty solid confirmation that 75.137.106.157 and 70.122.220.55 are Ryulong behind a proxy.

That should be 100% confirmed since we know he's a Ryulong meatpuppet.

Someone should drop a dime to ArbCom about all this, if his meatpuppets suffer because of this, it could shake some more fruit from the lulz tree. Worst that will happen is nothing.

Also, I find the meatpuppets even more pathetic than Cohen in a way. He's a mentally disturbed man whose miserable life revolves around wiki editing, which is sad, but it's even sadder that people keep helping him perpetuate his autism, especially where he's been explicitly banned, instead of forcing him to find more constructive things to do in life.

I love that he's seriously fighting for Gord Drive - there's not a goddamn reason to believe it isn't gold despite no context whatsoever, because why the fuck would some kind of "drive" be named after some kind of plant sorta related to a pumpkin?

In context, I totally get it. Who doesn't look at this and think that it's obviously suppose to be Gord.

This is coming off as more of an in-joke meme than anything official.

At the same time how the fuck is this happening? I don't know Japanese, but are the words for "gold" and "gord" that similar?

A common issue with Japanese translation is that there aren't separate /l/ and /r/ sounds in Japanese, so Japanese-native translators tend to pick one and stick to it. So, in the past, Ryulong's sperged out about keeping "condols" instead of "condors", "Gorenger" instead of "Goranger" (like "go ranger"), "buddyloid" instead of "buddyroid" (like "buddy android")...you get the point.

No. Ryulong is just a racist who thinks all Japanese talk like Chinese laundry jokes. He probably orders "flied lice" when he goes into a Japanese restaurant.

How in the fuck did he not get killed for butchering the language when he did live in Japan?

I think that legitimately is his stance on the matter.
Yeah, there was that time he tried arguing with native Japanese editors on the Japanese Wikipedia over extremely complex linguistic matters relating to Okinawan dialects.
He thought having been an American in Okinawa for six months or so made him an authority on the subject even though his Japanese was absolutely shit-tier.

ETA: Yup, found it.
