🎭 Dramacow Ryulong / Michael Cohen - Fanatic Wikisperg, Anti-Gamergater and All Around Asshole

Apparently this obsession of Cohen's on the Bleach wikia dates back to 2013 and he got blocked for a year due to it back then, making it all that more lulzy/pathetic. Some of the same people involved, too.

Alright, I'm gonna step in here and make this as civil as possible before it gets out of hand. First and foremost, you should not be changing anything involving translations, even if it's just "miscopied katakana" as you claim without first taking it to the Translation Corner, where it can be confirmed whether you are right or wrong by this site's experienced translators. And I've seen many raws, the kana is extremely small, so case and point, leave it up to them to see which diacritic on the "fu" kana is actually there.

Now, the second point. Undoing an edit by and admin or committee member here is considered edit warring, which is a direct violation of the very strict (yet very necessary) policies we have here. Simply bringing the issue to the Translation Corner does not give you a free pass to change it back until it is resolved. As was also stated in the warnings above, you are not allowed to remove content from your talk page unless you are either a) archiving it, or b) it is harassment.

Long story short, you are free to edit here, but please make sure to actually read the policies, as they are what keeps this place from descending into chaos given its large userbase. SchiffyTalk to meView my work15:37,11/4/2013 UTC

I wasn't aware it was against the rules to remove content from your own user talk page and it's been an ungodly amount of time between when I fixed the dakuten was demanded that I bring it to the translation corner, and then all of a sudden nothing has fucking happened in two weeks so I'm fed up with this particular site. His ego is so massive it can be spotted from orbit. How does he even make friends in the first place to give him the power he craves? He's such an insufferable asshole that everyone's gonna be off-put at the first impression.
 
Everyone except his fellow spergs, who see him as a useful idiot. Look at RationalWiki, he's almost single-handedly managed to drive away all opposition to the GamerGate article because people just don't want to put up with him and his meatpuppets.

Which has caused what little respectability they had to go into the toilet and started a massive civil war that caused several longtime members to leave in disgust and earned RW a massive lolcow record that has pissed all over whatever respectability they ever had and is still making them look like fools.

Like, what exactly does that behavior even acomplish? Literally everybody who stood to gain from the corruption in the gaming industry has long since fallen out of the lime light (including Wu, they just fucking deny it). All this shit on RW gets done is try to preserve a bias narrative about people who the world have long since moved on from. Well, except RW.

Never trust a snake like Ryulong, but I'm seeing this situation play out yet again with another cow and I think I fully understand how people get tricked by people like him. When you're really into these communities and a big part of them, it's much easier to be fooled and to believe that you can change people like him. Trusting him led to a whole tainting of that website's already shitty reputation and there are still somehow people over there who want to trust his dumb ass, which is even dumber to me than anything else. They are throwing away skepticism and relying on their feelings to make some kind of judgement on who to trust and I'm sure that there are plenty of RW people who haven't learned jack shit from this.

It says a lot about IrrationalWiki that they can't even maintain the minimal standards of civility a fandom Wikia manages and allow a screaming crazy like Ryulong to run rampant with the open endorsement of David Gerard.

That I believe was Carpetsmoker's justification for not banning Dlagondlagon. Seems the senior editors were dead set convinced that they could rehabilitate him, then Gerard and Adam popped up and basically gave him free rein to do whatever the hell he wanted.

Because fuck debunking pseudoscience, creationism, countering Conservapedia, or any of that jazz. "Rational" is all about sperging about some slapfight between autistic manbabies and legbeards, and taking an absurdly fanatical stand on one side of it.

Also in the end what real significance is gamergate? Are they expecting 10 years from now for anyone to even remember it. It's just like back when 4chan was protesting Scientology just some flash in the pan protests.

Yes, exactly. David Gerard's actually kinda stuck in a corner. When he welcomed Ryulong with open arms and refused to see that he did anything wrong, he set a precedent: Anything Ryulong does with his articles is okay. Since Ryulong was so protective of the articles in their anti-GG state (in his eyes, he wanted to make the Wikipedia articles he was banned for on RationalWiki), and Gerard was so set on defending Ryulong, the whole article reached its current fanatical state. Now, Ryulong's leaving. Gerard knows that if he lets anyone pro-GG or even nonpartisan touch the articles, Ryulong will sockpuppet or meatpuppet them back to where he wants them. Ryulong still has enough friends that Gerard banning them all outright would look bad. So, now that he's stuck in the corner, he has to pretend that he likes it, and he's been pretending so long he's beginning to like it. So when he said "WIGO:GG will soon look like WIGO:CP", he had it backwards. The page on the thriving encyclopedia his website is built to mock hasn't been updated in months, but the dead movement needs a WIGO page? RationalWiki's rank on Alexa is dropping, and Gerard needs the most fanatical people to stay and keep his site alive. (Also? Even with the annoying bar at the top of every page, RW's only 80% there on an end-of-year fundraiser. I'm not an accountant, but I think I can say that's not good.)
