Aside from the ones staring us in the face hereIt just came to my attention Ookamikakushi: Masque of the Wolf is another Ryukishi creation (or at least he directed it).

Has anyone played the game/watched the anime and can confirm similarities with WTC?
Mei was JP only and ended service earlier this year I think. I heard about some people making unofficial translations of it but I'm not sure how far they got. Had almost a five year run which is pretty good for a gacha game honestly, never interested me personally though. They also did a School Days collab which was bizarre to say the least lol, I thought it was a joke first time I heard about itOkay so like, what was the deal with that one Higurashi gacha game?

A Higurashi gacha makes me think that rather than getting cute girls doing cute things on events, it will just be more scenes of horrific ways they die. Looking at it on youtube it looks very uninspired gameplay wise.Mei was JP only and ended service earlier this year I think. That's definitely the impression I was given from it as well. Basically more of the Gou/Sotsu style senseless violence without a deeper reason to it, also paired with more sexualisation of the (underage) characters to attempt to appeal to the typical gacha game audiences. Kind of hurts my soul seeing them dehumanised/commodified in that way with how deep they are in the source material. And yeah gacha gameplay doesn't seem to be the draw for most people who play them lol, I can imagine it's a slogA Higurashi gacha makes me think that rather than getting cute girls doing cute things on events, it will just be more scenes of horrific ways they die. I'd just check the silent hill thread yourself. About Ciconia, he did a panel in Spain recently. He apparently said he's still working on it, with no additional information aside from that. I would love to find a better source, but the best I can find is this tweet from the day of the panel in spanish.@HexFag reminded me the new Silent Hill game has recently come out. So how bad is it and is Ciconia part 2 still not happening?

I haven't gotten super far in it but I think it's fun so far. The combat is pretty jank though.@HexFag reminded me the new Silent Hill game has recently come out. So how bad is it and is Ciconia part 2 still not happening?

It's such a strange excuse to permanently shelve it. Global tragedies happen all the time and naturally some fiction writers accidentally "predict" an event or two once in a while through no fault of their own. I don't see how that should interfere with a War Bad story, if anything shouldn't there be an uptick of War Bad stories during these kinds of periods?I randomly checked the Wikipedia page for ciconia and it had as a source that he said in 2023 he has no plans to finish it because he doesnt want to glorify war anymore. Nigga its an anti war game. Schrodinger's update. I cant believe we got rose guns daysed again.
Ciconia is great. It's the closest I've felt to be excited for reading a visual novel since Umineko. Hope you enjoy. Also it's been like over a decade or so but RGD is very interesting just because of it being set during McArthur's government. I love reading about the Japanese perspective on yanks.I recently finished Umineko. It was a great and I thoroughly enjoyed it; however, most of the fans which I have interacted with (at least on X) are insufferable, but that's to be expected from these kinds of works. I'm planning to read Higanbana next, then Rose Guns Days and finally Ciconia. I'm pretty interested in the latter.
The OST was churning out bangers during the final act of CiconiaIt's the closest I've felt to be excited for reading a visual novel since Umineko.
