I think this may be the one time where yelling "Its a cartoon" would be appropriate. That man looks like he needs psychological help.

We have a broken man now, boys. https://twitter.com/cj_black0/status/1261944752955699200?s=21
There's a solid reason behind calling Bumblebee shippers jihadists.Just how bad can the fandom get? I stay away from it rightly because I don't want my brain to crater, but from the impression I got, it's almost as bad or worse than the Steven Universe fandom.
Dang. That's a level of precision and destruction I don't think CRWBY would ever be capable of, even with better writers.Bumblebee has always been something I supported because the implications are hilarious. You have two characters each with deep emotional issues, even though they come from loving homes, that never showed interest for each other falling in love after ganking an ex slave who's accomplished more in his life to help the world than the main team. Mind you that was after one of the members of this ship left their "soulmate that they have loved forever" to die. Both are abusive, both have short tempers and after the honey moon phase is over they are going to become stereotypes of an abusive lesbian relationship.
I mean you have Yang a girl from a broken family who she claims to love but habitual abandons. Both in the beginning and after she loses her arm, which I'll remind you she only went back to help Ruby after she got a robot arm, ignored her loving dads pep talk/training, and killed a drunk lecher. Her entire personality can be boiled down to cool chick with a hair trigger switch that solves problems by being violent, you know a psycopath. That and her semblance is all about her losing her temper.
Then you have Blake a literal Faunus PRINCESS who joins a terrorist organization when she thinks her parents aren't doing enough and leaves after the leader, a slave who not only lost one of his eyes to a branding but could never reclaim his identity due to the location of the brand, lost his patience with her. I know they always tried to paint it as Adam being abusive but the more you learn about Blake the more it comes off that Adam had her along as a strong ally for the future and eventually lost his patience for the spoiled rich girl telling him how to fight for his people rights. Not only is she physically abusive, see how she beats Sun for laughs but tends to gaslight others, Adam/Her parents/Sun, when they don't agree with her and shirks responsibility, all it took was one apology for her to forget she left Yang to die. She's fond of insults and jabs and will continue long after the person has had enough and has a tendency to hold a grudge, Slapping her was enough to put Adam on her kill list.
It's funny because in the real world anyone would look at this couple and realize they are the worst possible option for each other. Blake has the personality that would piss yang off and would constantly drive her over the edge, she would never take responsibility for her actions and will hold everything Yang does against her slapping and snipping at her whenever she'd feel vindicated. When the dyke eventually brakes and Blake gets a fractured skull Blake will use that as evidence to destroy Yang and use it to keep Yang in a subservient role or will at least try to until Yang beats her again.
In summation Bumblebee is the type of ship I would make if I wanted to make fun of lesbians by making a stereotypical abusive relationship and the people who champion it don't realize how much it reveals about them.

It's interesting and all, but how many of the yuri-logicians just see two girls "flirting" because the showrunners say so and just disregard all the toxic implications? It's funny because some people think that's all the bees are and some say that's a reason why Qrow/Clover was a deal. https://streamable.com/qd8lteSexy yuri times is all they can think of apparently

Hannibal-esque breakdowns of shipping 'tism like this is always enjoyable.Bumblebee has always been something I supported because the implications are hilarious. >non toxic people in the fandomSo there's this new thing that encourages spreading love and appreciation in a fandom that's absolutely toxic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QSu2kPBGQ8&feature=emb_titl
Let's see how that fares-

Surprisingly they do as I've written in the OP. Though they're a very small minority by now.>non toxic people in the fandom
... they have those?
BIG BRAIN TIME!I've been busy elsewhere, so I don't have a quip because my head hurts. https://ramblings-by-sasskage.tumbl...y-talk-my-opinions-on-rwby-critics-on-youtube

I think one comment put things in a pretty clear lens.I found this interesting thread where OP speculates that Blake in this day and age is basically Arryn's self-insert instead of a character.

I fully agree.
In my opinion, ( And I don't know any of them personally at RT) none of them were ready for fame at their level. When you become famous, unfortunately, you just have different experiences than people. And if you got famous for your work on a series, then your experience in the fandom is different than a lot of other people's. An example of this is a scriptwriter knowing ahead of time how his work ends. They will no longer have the surprise an audience does.
JK Rowling destroyed her credibility with fans because she kept introducing things and details. Most of them read like shit posts. However because she is the author of the series, it means all of those things are technically canon to the world of Harry Potter. This is another example, when you are heavily involved in the creative process, your words carry a lot of weight.
This is true in every fandom, and it is true in RWBY also. I remember when a theory circulated that Nora was transgender, due to her outfit in V7 having the colors of the trans flag. When the voice actress for Nora liked some of the tweets in regards to this, that's when the theory really began to pick up traction.
Fair Game picked up traction because of how many people in the writing process liked art, reblogged art, and interacted with the community who shipped it. Even if they never confirmed anything, they still showed a heavy amount of support which, right, wrong or indifferent got a lot of people excited and felt so angry when it didn't happen, and it ended the way it did.
Now how does this tie into Arryn? In my opinion, she carries herself very unprofessionally, especially when it comes to ships. If she were anyone else, just a fan of the series, it wouldn't matter. But she isn't. She's Blake's actress which means people who want their headcanons about Blake confirmed, or their ships for Blake confirmed cast their eyes her way to see what she has to say. She has a tweet where she said ' She felt it in her balls since day 1' in regards to BumblBY which lead to debates and flame wars about if it was planned from the start. She has tweets making ambiguous statements about if it's canon or not, getting people more invested in it.
Arryn can be a fan of the series of course. But as the actress for Blake, she has to carry herself much differently in regards to how she interacts with the community. As for the self-insert thing, I don't know her enough to say, but I definitely see her romantic history with Miles being a reason why Adam, Illia and Sun are all canon attracted to her ( and Yang, sure if you want to toss it on there. I don't see it myself but eh). A similar thing happened with Community, Britta was based on the girl the writer was dating at the time and so was added to a lot more scenes.
