I'm on Discord, and some of my buddies are saying that these shows are saying that this is all just for people to keep their FIrst subscriptions.
Oh, that is not going to work. Nobody is going to pay a monthly fee for someone to give a behind the scenes take of a shitshow. The only people that will watch will be those that don't cancel when RWBY is done.

George Lucas once said that the real money isn't in selling tickets but in the merchandise. Star Trek and Star Wars are worth billions thanks to the fact that people just won't stop buying extra material like toys, figures, games, books, clothes etc

The anime industry doesn't really mind piracy in the long run because people watching for free is just free publicity for their merchandise.

So, if RT is desperate for subscriptions for money and youtube ad revenue to stay afloat, they are doing something horribly wrong.

And not a single one is more RWBY Chibi. Ya goofed it again, RT.
Not only that, but how are the first two even related to the series beyond the voice actors and some staff appearing? First one's a BtS series sure, but they already have the featurettes and AMAs on Reddit for that. Hell, they have an entire book on it on sale, they don't need to copy someone else's work for it unless they're actually going to talk about things like dropped/unused plot details or little tidbits like what goes into the Grimm roars and shit like that which haven't been brought up yet.

The D&D thing I'm not buying for a second though. Still annoyed there isn't any word on Chibi, but then again, there's been next to no word on the production of either Gen;LOCK Season 2 or their Transformers Netflix series yet from any source (let alone RT), so I get the feeling they might have just up and trashed Chibi altogether.

In case you haven't known, Viz Media has adapting the first two volumes of RWBY. At least, that's all they've been slated to do. https://twitter.com/jeremyboss007/status/1227451651675611144?s=12
Here is one thing, they do know what will happen to Ruby, right? Then what in the world, the first thing in their mind is about rape? Just because the scene portrays Ruby in worse condition than in the show, that doesn't mean whatever the worse thing they think of will happen to her. The manga is still an adaptation of RT works, if anything they should blame RT for letting this happens, because RT should be the one supervises this.

I think I found the original tweet of the image, earlier date compare to Jeremyboss007's one. I'll link tweet thread for the sperg arguing about implication and "you shall not portray bad thing in fiction". Long images below.

Wanna know what she looks like?
She may has an genetic illness, but she is deserved to be mocked if she can't separate fiction from reality. I feel like this is what contributes to whatever current social media generation of fandom. On how dare creators portray their favourite characters in a horrible situation and/or condition. Because if the creators do that, it means creators advocate for bad things in real life. But for some wishy washy portrayal of Yang PTSD is considered to be great. 🙄

Oh, she went private when I was writing this post.

Don’t these people try to argue against the idea that this show has no stakes? Yet here they are, having panic attacks over a fictional character being in grave danger, because stakes bad, am I right? In their eyes, good writing is anything that doesn’t hurt their fee-fees.

Didn't one of the lead guys for RWBY Chibi bail the fuck out not that long ago? If they couldn't find a replacement in time I could see why they're not making a new season just yet.
Yeah I think a guy who did a lot of animation at RT bailed, along with several other animators over the last year. Even if they wanted to do RWBY Chibi at this point there's no one left to actually work on it.

I don't really think that is the case. Animation, like most "artistic" industries, is filled to the brim with people desperate to get any kind of experience or inroad into the business. They definitely could get people to work on it on the cheap, especially in Austin Texas.

The real issue is that there is no creative lead to actually direct and manage it all. RT has such a piss poor reputation within the animation and entertainment industry, both as a content producer and workplace, that anyone with any actual talent and skill doesn't bother to apply/work for them or, if they are entry level, does their time and gets the fuck out the minute a better opportunity shows up.

CBR is all around trash but their anime articles are something else. As an example of just how low effort they are one time when they listed 10 anime characters stronger than Jotaro from JJBA They put DIO on the list (You know the guy that lost to Jotaro) and not the rat from part 4, Yoshikage Kira, or even Madara Uchiha and his six gorillion bullshit no jutsu. They make Watchmojo look high tier by comparison.

I knew it. I knew somebody would play the “they were in the closet” card. https://twitter.com/GayngXiaoLong/status/1229422590927785984?s=20
Can these assholes just admit they hate bisexuals already? Yang being bi would in no way negate her attraction to Blake, yet these guys pitch a fit if you even suggest it. They don't see bisexual characters as real lgbt rep and don't want to even think of the possibility that their favorite character would ever touch an icky man.

I can’t exactly remember where I saw it (Might’ve been the wiki, Word of God from Monty, or WoG from the Galaxy Brain Duo) but discrimination against LGBT on Remnant is apparently very unheard of...So even if Yang were in the closet, no one would’ve really given a flying fuck about her wanting chicks over dudes and if they did she could scare them off with her temper.

The scene where she’s checking those guys out indicated she liked what she saw, before Jaune came into screen and she lost interest very quickly.

What one person said on Discord said it best: people are projecting. Also, Remnant isn't Earth.

I don't think that's going to stop people making Bumbleby fanfics where Taiyang disowns Yang for being a lesbo with Blake. People want oppression points and "conflict" for their "gaybies"
