This is an actual panel from the actual RWBY comic. Someone fucking drew this. Why is one arm so much bigger than the other? Why are her eyes drawn like that? Why is her nose so far up on her face? Where is her neck??

DC hasn’t cared for their comics since 2013. What made you think they’d care about this?

Was this perspective? Because this feels like a a sketch someone drew after bingewatching Invader Zim and Ren & Stimpy back to back.

'Course, DC's been shit with their comics since New 52 started...

She looks more like some sort of parody or comedy than an actual RWBY character. Like, I think this is the kind of character that I'd see in Nomad of Nowhere (remember that before RT crunched it?)

Also, it’s post 2013, after DC stopped giving a shit about comics in general.

I don’t think anyone does. The only thing about it that may get a notice is it may have been sacrificed for Gen Lock,

For those that don't want to click the link.

The three "new RWBY shows" are.

- Live action "behind the scenes" talk show, sounds like a rip off of "Talking Dead". Starring Kerry as the host. Live action talk show that costs nothing, basically. Maybe they're hoping for the "Game of Thrones" meme-magic, but it's more probably that Kerry wants some camera time.

- Live action "people (RoosterTeeth staff and "guests") playing Dungeons and Dragons", which also costs nothing and feels like they're biting off of Critical Role/other D&D shows.

- 2D "short animations" that are described as bedtime stories/fairy tales in the RWBY world. Slated to come out this year despite currently being in an "experimental/developmental" stage.

Having them call this all "new RWBY shows" is a bit desperate and disingenuous. I couldn't imagine watching any of these except maybe checking out the 2D shorts, if by some miracle they actually come out this year and aren't flaming dogshit.

Yeah I'm gonna call their bluff on something coming out this year, especially given that we know how horrible things are behind the scenes. This also sounds similar to the World of Remnant shorts they used to make which I thought they stopped doing cause they were determined to be a waste of time and resources. I guess desperation strikes and they want to act like they have more going on. I still imagine they'd be garbage.

And I agree with you that they're trying to copy other shows that wouldn't cost them anything. The D&D game is pretty fucking transparent in trying to cop off Critical Role. I still wouldn't trust them to manage even these simple things to be honest. I find most of the "personalities" at Rooster Teeth to be unbearable. And I can't imagine wanting to watch a show with Kerry "Literally no personality" Shercross hosting. He's so dull why in the world would you want him to host a show like that? I hate Miles but even he has more personality than Kerry, even if it's a severely unbearable one.

Overall this, along with that announcement a while back that they already have the next few seasons of RWBY in development, reeks of them desperately trying to keep their audience since RWBY is pretty much the only thing left that even mildly makes them money. I would imagine that they'd do this during the off season in an attempt to keep people from dropping their First memberships when a RWBY season ends. All they had to do was just... make their stuff not suck. They're trying to make up for the lack of quality with quantity of even more crap and that's not going to solve the problem.
