My wild predictions. After failing to get the American public to support war with Venezuela, Donald Trump will ship the new replacement boogeyman to BRICS. Then an asshole tries to explain Call of Duty lore to him, then he will think the Winslow accord from Black Ops 3 a good idea, but he will, of course rename it to the Trump accord. I am only half joking and shiposting. Ukraine and Venezuela will both lump in to the anti-BRICS agenda. Both younger right-wingers and left-wingers will become more and more anti-Israel in the west.
 
Assuming the Venezuelans are braver than Arabs and the country doesn't disintegrate over the next 120 hours but instead turns into Latinx Vietnam I wonder how badly this might hurt America's ability to give supplies to Ukraine?

At the bare minimum a 3 month long war with heavy fighting should cost the Ukrainians at least a few weeks worth of munitions, right?

Also let us watch and see just how weak and peformative the responses from Euro leaders to this will be compared to Feb 2022.
 
Less of a threat then Serbia was which had the US and all of Europe involved. The only thing that is viewed positive about this from Russia is the US will probably be scrutinizing them less about their war when they also just started one.

There are going to be benefits for Russia from this, but that is not one.

Russia will benefit since Trump just royally fucked many pro American parties across South America for several election cycles and may have sealed the deal with Brazil remaining a anti U.S player in BRICS.
Russia also can benefit from the protests and/or riots that may sweep burgerville if his national gaurd isn't ready for the predictable internal reaction and all the political instability that will come with it.
And as I said in my previous post they may even benefit from having to deal with less U.S made supplies finding their way to Ukraine depending on how long the Venezuelans hold out.

Russia won't however get to enjoy America cutting them some slack.
It doesn't mean anything if this ends tommorow in a decisive victory for Uncle Sam or a year long slugfest that ends with America leaving in shame, the American gov will maintain (and wholeheartedly) believe their official position that their intervention against a neighbor was wholesome 100 democracy-chungus while Russia launched a unwholesome war of aggression for no reason against a nation of puppies on a butterfly farm.

Venezuela has oil and rare earths, and Maduro insisted they belong to the Venezuelan people and need to be exported at no less than market rates no matter how big bribes the yanks tried to throw at him personally.

By the way, fentanyl overdoses have dropped by approximately 20% in the US due to a combination of improved land border enforcement and strikes on drug boats in the Pacific and Caribbean.

What does this have to do with the Russia-Ukraine War? If you think this thread is for the discussion of the US theft of Venezuela's petroleum I think need to put down the crack pipe (and said crack, the way, wasn't coming from Venezuela, and neither did fentanyl).
 
It looks like Maduro made a deal with the US, he and his family were airlifted out of Venezuela by the Delta force, with airstrikes reportedly being there to protect him and the extraction team. No Venezuelan military activity indicates a stand down order. Possibly, the US already went back on their word, saying that they'll prosecute him for his crimes against the US..

Some people have sour grapes over Venezuela getting the paper backing of Europe and other nations convincing them to refuse to surrender when their inevitable defeat will happen anyways.
