I don't know how anyone can hate Rowling when she's preventing women from being litigation-harassed into bankruptcy. Troons want these women's lives ruined and their children raped. How is Rowling "the bad guy"?

Edit: and yeah the idea of there being some Harry Potter “boycott” is a joke. Do you know how huge it is that the game made a billion dollars? Most games don’t come anywhere near that. + like I posted earlier I live in a very blue area and there was a line out the door all weekend for the Harry Potter doughnuts at KK.

Seeing lots of seething fits on both “sides” about the trailer. Efap etc types are angry about the black Snape and jeeta Hermione while the angry troons are doing their usual thing. Lots of people complaining it just looks like a lower budget or uncanny valley ai generated version of the movie which I kind of agree with but 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's funny to watch all the seething, but at the same time it's maddening to watch the misinformation spread like wildfire. The mold is a meme but they hurl it like a playground insult thinking they're badass. It's been shown that the person who contacted Epstein was only vaguely affiliated with JK, just doing publicity. Yet the average troon ally takes it as a hard fact because they saw it on twitter. I know the kids are lacking in critical thinking these days but my god. Whoever said the left wing has more rigid, black & white viewpoints than the right was correct. It's so bizarre to watch it happen in real time.

It was really underwhelming and kinda soulless. Hagrid wasn't Hagriding enough. Black Snape is a terrible, terrible idea, what were they thinking? They could raceswap anyone else, it's a huge cast. Will I watch it anyway? Yes, absolutely. Every stream makes a troon seethe even more.

I keep looking for other reasons, but the simplest and most straight forward is good ol' misogyny. Why else would people be gleeful at the idea that a woman who JUST WANTS TO CHANGE OR PEE IN PEACE should have her life ruined for saying, "No" to an entitled moid?

It's also painfully clear that they hate that JKR has as much financial power to help stand up to troons (hence all the hopes of a boycott).
