how she feels about Westerners who parrot the slogans of Revolutionary Cause of the Day™

She has had to watch those western activists who all claim to work for the cause of peace push and push for the withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan now say absolutely nothing as the goat fuckers revert their entire female population back into a medieval slave class.
She saw the same from the number one british felcher of hairy authoritarian assholes, Jeremy Corbyn, as he said nothing as teenage female students were being raped, tortured and killed in Iran for the crime of not covering their hair.

For all their talk about feminism, the modern far left sure does love sucking on the balls of the most misogynist societies on this fucking rock.

Let be honest, JK could support every current cause and some Troon would be slavering how she hadn’t tweeted about 9th century Haitians or something.

What’s the thing when whatever someone you hate does, it’s wrong/ not enough ?

I recently had a skim of the Brexit thread, I would be fascinated about her thoughts about it next year a decade on. I suspect they would boil down to "when a majority of the country vote to cut down on the amount of fighting age men from nations that hate women allowed in and the response of politicians is to increase their numbers it shows what they feel about the will of the people."

“Rowling writing about monsters in public bathrooms as a lot device? Must be her troon fetish!”

Christ, they misunderstood that.

It was supposed to be funny in that Ron was all lovey dovey and confused and shit.

Harry took it seriously and got him cured before anything bad could happen.

Toilets mentioned a handful of times across several relatively long novels?
Clearly an obsession.

They haven’t got shit and they are still furious that Harry Potter wasn’t an allegory for a trans kid.

In the same book, it's also revealed that Voldemort was born because his mother drugged and raped a muggle man, and that backstory is a big part of the reason why Tom Riddle is the way he is.

Fanfic writers do take it seriously too, like one where Sirius Black is exonerated in an alternative timeline, briefly becomes a history of magic teacher, and gives a lecture on the life of Voldermort, with many students taking the moral of the story as, "DON'T USE LOVE POTIONS."

Okay but Ron wasn't actually assaulted, he was just loopy for like an hour while Harry kept him out of harms way and got him cured.

Ron's behavior was the funny part, not him getting drugged. That part is taken fairly seriously.

Christ, they misunderstood that.
They call this "media literacy" and dismiss anyone as illiterate if they disagree. Spouting shallow, high-school-level "analysis" while breaking everything down into meaningless, arbitrary "tropes" is considered the height of intelligence.

And then it's followed up with Harry having to shove ANOTHER antidote down Ron's throat because Draco poisoned a drink that was originally meant for Dumbledore, but Slughorn decided to pop it open to give to Harry and Ron instead, not realizing what was going on.

The entire scene in its full context is hardly funny, especially since it ends with Ron almost dying.

Not long before the JK Rowling backlash, many of this generation were still trying to herald Harry Potter as serious literature.

I remain convinced that a good majority of these kids haven’t read anything more complex, not even Game Of Thrones or the Hunger Games.

You're being disingenuous and you know it. Notice how the only people who are in agreement with her are (neo)conservatives and (neo)conservative politicians and she does nil toward denouncing them.
I'm pretty much a fucking commie and I love her. I consider all this celebrating of perversion and deviancy a bourgeois aberration, just like Lenin did. This doesn't make Lenin, me or JKR a (neo)conservative.

Her shitposting is improving.

It’s crazy how much she has evolved. She went from “Her publicist says she liked some “problematic” tweets “by mistake” but don’t worry she is super inclusive, to outright trolling them and humiliating them online.

She doesn't even shy away from flexing her wealth anymore to make them seethe. Super based.

I don’t fully agree on her on every single issue, but I gotta admire her guts on being those cry bullies worst nightmare. Rowling has been consistent on defending women’s rights and that I can respect.

They definitely haven't. Or if they did read a book other than Harry Potter, it was more popular YA like Hunger Games or Twilight at the absolute most. When a nail polish company released a Harry Potter collab earlier this year, there was a thread in a polish subreddit where people cried about just that, then asked what "trans friendly" authors they could finally read instead. All the recommendations were young adult novelists.

Speaking of, that same nail polish company teased several additional collections themed around things like Hogwarts Houses and magical items. The collections are currently previewed on their site (archive)

And someone posted on Reddit how disappointed they were at Orly for not giving in to the past backlash

They apparently just released 4 more shades in collaboration with Harry Potter, which benefits the anti-trans JK Rowling, despite the backlash of their first “Butterbeer” collab months ago. It’s obvious now that these 4 shades were in the works when they released the first one, and they likely paid for the licensing already, so they completely ignored the backlash. Ignoring the backlash completely instead of apologizing allowed them to release the rest of the shades, I imagine they’ll try to do damage control later once the collab is wrapped up. They have avoided mentioning this add-on to the collab anywhere on socials as far as I can tell, to just skate by and finish whatever was contracted. This is just so disappointing to me.

Along with the usual comments, including people once again sad that they can no longer read the one book they ever read again because the author is a TERF, someone pointed out that Orly also has an ongoing collab with the WNBA. This lead to additional trannies in women's sports discourse that started leaning conspiratorial towards the end

Late to the party, but I'd like to add to the illiteracy talk that a lot of these people point to stuff in the Potter movies for their "Rowling is evil" catalogue (as it infamously happened with the Gringotts idiocy). I haven't seen a single person showing a quote from the books. If they can't even be bothered to look up Rowling's own words to hold against her, something she has pointed out multiple times in regards to her "TERF wars" essay, I have to wonder how many of them even read books in the first place.

Goblins in the books sound more like like brownies or knockers, which actually have the complete fucking opposite appearance of the stupid 90s Child's Play Christmas elves that Chris Columbus put in the movies. Long-fingered, clown-shoed, maybe green or brown skinned little shrub people. True Neutral nature fairies. BASIC IRISH GRANDMA BULLSHIT YOU ILLITERATE TRANNY FUCKS. These "muh nazi joanna" types are all Americans, probably, and should stop being so culturally insensitive aka RACIST.

Oh wow a book about wizards uses one of the oldest tropes in wizard fiction, the love potion. These people are pathetic. And cowboy movies sometimes have cowboys use guns. O NOOOOOEZ!
A person with a functioning brain would read something like Blood Meridian and come away with the conclusion that all of the characters are pretty terrible people, and that the hyper violence is done intentionally to portray a non-romanticized version of the American West.

The same people who think JKR supports slavery because of the house elves would read Blood Meridian and think that the author just really loves scalping people, and that the entire book is a love letter to scalping.
