Since this is the unofficial Himdia thread, this seems like a good place to post this…
Dude, the audience
knows what they’re unapologetically laughing at. This attempt to guilt-trip them into worshipping the female penis would backfire horribly.
It amazes me that he thinks that the troons would emerge victorious in his described situation. He’s thinking that the audience (and performer) at a
stand-up show would look at the teary-eyed troon being openly roasted onstage, have an oh-shit-this-is-fucked-up realization, disavow that humor, then take a moral inventory that results in them struggle-sessioning themselves into being kinder and more accepting of troons. Such an idea totally neglects to take into account just how hated troons are in the first place, which is why this plan would be doomed to failure.
If anything, the troon onstage (who would have to be some kind of humiliation fetishist) would serve as breathing fodder for the comic to improvise yet more jokes, while also serving as a target for audience heckling and thrown objects. Not an ounce of sympathy would be had.
She still has more vitriol directed at her than Neil Gaiman, a rapist.
Their twisted logic for why she’s worse than Gaiman is rooted in the
reach of each’s actions. In essence, while Gaiman’s actions were more physical and morally reprehensible, he only affected a small handful of people/women. Rowling’s actions (e.g. being instrumental in the UK SC decision), on the other hand, are seen as having downstream negative effects on far more people than Gaiman’s, thus leading to her being seen as a greater evil. Gaiman’s pro-qweer and pro-girldick stances also work in his favor here.
Yeah, it’s fucking stupid and insane, but that’s the way they think.
