I always assumed that asexual people generally got on with their lives and lived quietly.

I mean people in history have always been able to join religious orders, girls were frequently and boys occasionally forced into marriages with love, connection and compatibility being of no concern, and there have been people who just seemed to never find a partner and appeared capable of living alone.

Maybe someone might remark on a permanently single person from time to time but it’s not like they were widely or specifically persecuted.
Questions about it could always be dismissed with a swift mind your own business.

Those who were forced into marriages were just as “oppressed” as anyone that happened to.
It’s not like they were singled out.

In any case I can’t see why any of them would actually care enough to want a day of “representation or awareness”?
Seems more that they would be happier with people ignoring it because who gives a shit about voluntarily celibacy?

He is actually in that, House of the Dragon.
I hoped that he was cast as a Eunuch, but it doesn’t appear that he is.
It’s seems we are expected to believe that his character is a woman, which as I say above, was also what made Django terrible.
Real shame as Django could have been a decent gritty western show.

I now hope that the House of Dragon production staff hire Rory McGann and Gwendoline Christie to reprise their roles of the Hound and Brienne of Tarth, film a violent scene akin to the fight they had on a cliffside, but “forget” to hire a stunt double for Thorn.

Thorn being crippled with an axe blow from Clegane and then hurled to his death from a sheer drop onto rocks should be praised as the finest acting of his career.

They behave that way because they are attention seekers. Asexuality is when an attention seeker can't get laid but still needs attention.

True and Honest celebates live their lives without shoving their bedroom habits, or lack thereof, in anyone's face - exactly like every other normal functional adult.

House did an episode about asexuality like 15 years ago and surprise surprise the female half of the "asexual" couple was faking it and the guy actually had a tumor. It's all mental health and actual medical conditions all the way down.
