Tbh I don't think there is much actual research (like what Joyce is doing right now) and proper discussion, I haven't read Abigail Shrier, but I assume it wasn't mentioned because she probably is not aware enough of what's going on online. But maybe someone has read the book and can confirm.
But any place that is commenting on TIFs posting insane shit on social media, just like KF, has pointed out this issue. Mostly tumblr and lolcow as places where women are still allowed to talk without troons taking over, though the TIF thread on lolcow has a rule against too much fujo derailing because it tends to lead to infighting.

You need to accept their psychotic abuse indefinitely, because if you give even the mildest pushback you're punching down and that means you're the bad guy. It's no wonder this ideology is spreading like wildfire; must be real nice to buy into a worldview where you're always correct, excused for your behaviour no matter how off the rails you go, and any disagreement you face from others is morally abhorrent.

She's getting more based. A few years ago it was all "I love and respect trans people, but...", now it's just "that's a man lol". Prolonged exposure to trannies tends to kill any sympathy you might have once had for them.
