Troons would still be protected under the GRA. Codifying a proper definition of woman that excludes men (and excluding women from the category of men as well) protects women as a sex class from being locked in a cell with a rapist, or stuck in a hospital ward with a rapist. It would have the minor side effect that men (and women for that matter) would actually require a GRC in order to qualify for positions where being of a certain sex is a requirement. Like, I don't know, running a rape crisis center in Edinburgh. Or to be placed on women-only short lists.

And let's be honest, if anyone in the English speaking world is evicted or fired or denied access to services they are entitled to on the grounds of being a tranny, they'd have grounds for a lawsuit. But men don't have a right to harass lesbians out of public life for not liking girl dick or to get sports awards they're not good enough to earn in fair competition against their peers, and this would make it harder for them to assert they do.
