Which is it? We "transphobes" are obsessed with you or you're completely obsessed with "transphobes" like JK Rowling?

I would almost bet on it, since basically every article about the game had to come with a disclaimer about disavowing Rowling's transphobia and how to donate to trannies. They all were playing it and wanted the clicks, but it cannot be voted GOTY.
to be fair being anything "of the year" means being a pile of shit on a bigger pile of shit

Hogwarts Legacy just came out on Switch today and shockingly there’s mostly been crickets outside of people bitching that it doesn’t run as well as it does on other consoles.

Most people who were excited for the game already found a way to play it, and the TRAs are more occupied with the fact it didn't get a Game of the Year nomination. Spamming spoilers of the game isn't going to get a rise out of anyone anymore.

I also wonder if, on some level, the troon platoon know they took an astronomically big L over their Hogwarts Legacy spergout, so there's a deliberate, unspoken effort to keep quiet and not talk about it any more, because they're kind of hoping everyone will forget about it.

I still see it dredged up from time to time to grasp at straws for some kind of dunk, like this Twitter post I saw being shared around showing Elden Ring had more concurrent Steam players than Hogwarts Legacy two months after release and right now there's circlejerking over the game not getting any nominations at The Game Awards, AKA another fucking award show that doesn't matter unless thing-you-like wins. But, you know, still doesn't change the fact the boycott failed to the tune of second best selling game of 2023.

In the end, Hogwarts Legacy won big time at the Show Me The Money Awards, the only one that really counts. And given the longevity of the fan base, basically guarantees that there’s gonna be a trans phobic game every couple years for the fans to enjoy and the trans to chimp out about.

Let the milk flow.

9 months later, and these trannies still fail to realize why people aren't as an eager to stand alongside them because of this. It's why it's hilarious when the sequel comes out, and this time People are going to clap back, and clap hard if they are going to go for a round 3 of their chimp out.

Glancing around online looks like Hogwarts Legacy was the second best selling game of the year, behind a Zelda game. Not certain if that's out of date or not but honestly if that's what constitutes failure JK and co will fail all the way to the bank and probably release another one so just they can let that failure fund some more shrieks of outrage.
Votes from "games journalists" don't mean jack shit. The only votes that really matter in vidya are Benjamins.

It wouldn't surprise me to hear The Game Awards was bullied behind the scenes into blacklisting the game. "It's too divisive!"

I wonder if there's been any seething about the Grammy Award nomination.

I expect the woke Spider-Man 2 to be showered with awards. They may as well change the name to the Suck The Dick Bigot awards.

Actually, according to a few ads for the Switch version, they’ve still got #1. Zelda is a close second.

Interesting. Switch Legacy is only just out, figures I saw were from some months ago so would not have included that. Legacy might be on top again. Of course it depends if the ads were talking about this month or the year to date.

The best selling game of the year isn't eligible for Game of the Year because some trannies don't like the opinions of the author of the work it's based on.

Can we please go back to love of money being the root of all evil? At least that made fucking sense.

We need a war!

Trannies and their goblin allies v bigot-wizards.

John Waters and a resurrected Tod Browning need to be united to direct such a war.

Not really, did you read the article? It doesn’t say she changed her mind, it just sums up what happened before and adds that she was surprised at all the criticism she got.

This private information is unavailable to guests due to policies enforced by third-parties.

It’s not that long, but it ends with her basically repeating what she said before:
Despite this, the Harry Potter actor emphasizes the importance of acknowledging diverse perspectives and urges people to listen to Rowling with an open mind, even if they may not agree with her.

Yes, I read it and I am pleasantly surprised that she won't back down completely. Although her statement was mild at worst. Still sad that she is being bullied over it and that it remains newsworthy considering why her relationship with Rowling is closer than some others.

I hope she keeps it up and shows the simpering handmaiden what "be kind" really means.

Saw a bunch of cope articles about Lisa Nandy reacting to JK Rowling's attack and had to remind myself why the two of them gave a shit about one another. The Independent reminded me, Lisa 's on board with the trans stuff and with silencing anyone who speaks out against the trans stuff including ousting them from the party then tried to claim she didn't want to support that but just had to.

The comment referred to remarks made by Ms Nandy at the 2020 Labour conference. “I believe very fundamentally in people’s rights to self-ID, and I believe the Gender Recognition Act strikes the wrong balance in relation to that,” she said.

The Labour frontbencher added: “So crimes I think that are recorded should be recorded as that person wishes, who has been through that process, received support and self-identified. I think trans women are women and I think trans men are men so I think they should be in the prison of their choosing.”

Ms Nandy also signed a pledge card organised by the Labour Campaign for Trans Rights that said party members who hold “bigoted, transphobic views” should be expelled.

It also called Woman’s Place UK – a group that opposes gender self-identification for transgender people – as a “trans-exclusionist hate group”.

But the senior Labour MP also said: “Do I think that women in the Labour party who raise questions about it should be expelled? No I don’t.”

When asked about the issue on Sky News on 2020, Ms Nandy said: “I have to say, that was the part of the pledge that gave me pause for thought about whether to sign it.”

“I decided to sign it in the end because I think that the sentiment of the pledge about protecting trans rights and about accepting that trans men are men and trans women are women is really important, especially at the moment with the level of discrimination that people face.”

She added: “I don’t think that proscribing organisations is actually the right way to deal with disciplinary issues in the Labour party.”
