I had somehow conflated Charlie Rhodes, the bus driver, with George Middler, the shopkeeper from Chapter 15.3

Honestly, I was content with lurking this thread, but seeing that comment and having read Salem's Lot, I started to think to myself that either I forgot such a surreal thing or I might've read a curated version of the book.
I'm glad I'm not going senile and that dude is just a retard.
But, in his defense, King only has brand recognition. Read enough of his books and you realize you've been bamboozled and it's just thinly veiled shlock. So, yeah, I could see myself watching some harem anime while reading whatever coke fueled horseshit King put out.

That's actually the reason.

Remember, all of this started because she liked a tweet about "Men in drag" displacing women a the Labour party. She is upset, like many others, that lgbT is trumping feminism within the left's set of priorities.

It will never happen because them being against troons will exonerate towelheads in her eyes, but one has to wonder if on an alternate timeline where an increasing influence of, say, muslims within the Labour party came at the expense of feminism she would have dared to go "Deus Vult!" on them.

Everyone has to get redpilled somehow. Also, countering your rant, she's also a Christian. She wasn't a complete caricature of a leftard and she was probably only sucking up to those people on some level to make it in showbiz. I know she got in fights with Piers Morgan and others over dumb shit, but you really think she would go to the bat for these people after all that happened? Being fucked with by the mob messes with your head and changes your perspective. I seriously doubt she gives two fucks about woke stuff at this point anymore. I checked out one of his "comedy" videos on YouTube and it was him trying to claim that nobody would troon out to gain fame and glory in women's sports, because nobody in women's sports has ever even achieved fame and glory, so why would any man even bother. He tried to make out that it was like winning the gold medal at the special olympics.

It was just pure misogynistic shite, from a morbidly obese greasy-haired man with tits, with the laugh track over-dubbed cos the few people you could see in the audience clearly weren't laughing. I tried to upload it here a few times, but it kept failing.

Rowling's politics are "Affluent White Woman", always have been. She supports fashionable causes, of which being a TERF is one (the RF in the acronym is still there). For some reason, a lot of Affluent White Women in the UK are in camp TERF, in a way the same demographic in the US isn't yet. Unherd seems to be their main journal, and you can see their mindset there: they regularly feature gender critical feminist writers (mostly college lesbians), and question other aspects of woke orthodoxy as well. But you can also see it is liberal criticism, wishing to go back to a 2000s status quo.

I'm sorry, in what universe is being a TERF a 'fashionable cause'? That's literally the whole problem. It ISN'T.

You won't see big corporations offer any takes that are even mildly gender critical and voicing such views on social media will get you shouted down and ridiculed for what would have been considered perfectly normal, sensible, uncontroversial statements only ten or so years ago. This fucking website almost got taken down because of the power and influence these fuckers have!

The fashionable cause at the moment is to be pro-tranny shit. It makes you seem open-minded and inclusive and caring and enlightened if you're A-OK with the grooming and mutilation of children and the steamrolling of women's rights.

That's because for troons, their troonery is living a kink full-time. It's a constant flow of endorphins. And when you're doing that, someone that goes against your kink is like giving a trippin' junkie a shot of narcan. It rips them right out of their "gender euphoria" and brings into sharp focus the fact that they are, indeed, just men in dresses. And they can't have that, they gotta keep chasing the dragon.

And for the rest of the woke crowd? Well, it's a lot simpler. Social justice and "woke" are just religion for atheists. And do you know what's even worse than heretics like us? An apostate like JK Rowling. Someone who abandoned the faith. As Saladin would say, always kill traitors before enemies.
