GROOMING of young girls by gangs of predominantly Kashmiri men is still occurring on an “industrial scale” in Rotherham because authorities are failing to tackle an organised child sex crime racket, an investigation by express.co.uk has uncovered.

Express.co.uk has pieced together shocking testimony from victims, campaigners and local residents in a large-scale investigation series being revealed throughout this week.

They all told us how police and the local council is still "failing" thousands of vulnerable girls.

It reveals how organised, criminal gangs of paedophiles are still using the town as their own personal fiefdom, peddling underage girls for sex as part of a multi-million pound crime empire.

The men are predominantly from the city of Mirpur in the disputed region of Kashmir, on the border between Pakistan and India.

Express.co.uk has chosen to refer to the abusers as Kashmiri or Mirpuri after hearing how many mainstream British Pakistanis are disgusted by the actions of a few men from those communities.

Today an investigation by this website lifts the lid on the shocking scale of abuse still going on in Rotherham, two years after a landmark report into the scandal ruled police and council workers had ignored the issue for fear of being branded racist.

Professor Alexis Jay's astonishing probe revealed at least 1,400 girls were groomed by sex gangs between 1997 and 2013, and unearthed a series of scandalous failings by local authorities.

A recent follow-up report, published by Professor John Drew in March, concluded that the police are now “adequately” tackling child grooming and that historic failures had been “isolated”.

But testimony, pieced together from independent sources, paints a starkly different picture of the authorities’ response.

A number of people who gave evidence to Professor Drew’s inquiry expressed open dismay at his findings and told us the grooming of girls is as bad now as it has ever been.

And many have told Express.co.uk of their outright anger the police and local council workers have not done more to crack down on the grooming gangs.

One victim, who we have called Ellie to protect her identity, said: "Raping of white girls by these men is still going on. Some, I know, have had to wait months before they're even asked to give a statement [to the police]. It's shockingly bad still."

In light of the scandalous failings of South Yorkshire Police (SYP) to tackle child sexual exploitation the Government sent in the National Crime Agency (NCA) to oversee the inquiry.

The investigation – called Operation Stovewood – is currently probing more than 7,000 lines of inquiry.

But Ellie said: "What have the National Crime Agency been doing for the last 18 months with their £10million? No arrests yet? We're feeling desperate and disheartened."

Another girl, going under the pseudonym Lizzie, said: "I know a few girls who have come forward recently and been told they are being racist and I know a lot that won't come forward and to be fair I can't blame them.

“Nothing has changed, not in the slightest. It's still the same scale as before."

For the uninitiated, this basically means that this previous shambles has been allowed to snowball further despite claims that it would be stopped.

This is just proof that South Yorks Police is unfit for purpose and needs merging with the more competent West Yorks force (a move that has been mooted since Rotherham broke).

You have to remember this is the force responsible for covering up the Hillsborogh disaster as well, the art of the cover up is alive and well in South Yorks Force and this needs to be outright purged. Only way to fix that now it seems is outright taking over of the force by a more competent and less cover up happy force.

Rotherham Council is still locked into Special Measures with Commissioners appointed by then Communities Mnister, Eric Pickles, still in place over a number of key departments (namely Family Services).

Sir Derek Myers, the lead commissioner, recommended handing powers back to the elected officials in 11 key areas back in December last year but both Rotherham Council and the commissioners know they're in it for the long haul and it will be years before anyone will trust the council to have direct control over all matters again.

I don't know how many people really agreed with that but many members openly did and not a single person openly disagreed. Again, this wasn't some tumblr-infested shithole. This was a forum full of people that would otherwise be considered "normal" or "average" with regular jobs, families, social circles etc.

Okay, so let me set the scene: Rotherham is one of many Northern towns that was once dedicated to heavy industry, steelwork, mining and similar all out, balls to the wall hardcore manly man jobs that destroyed you body and soul but paid very well, that all ended about 20 years ago leaving Rotherham to fester like an open sore on the arse of South Yorkshire.

Back in the day school leavers would literally be assigned a job as an apprentice before they left school, the big industies would teach them everything they needed to know (including the stuff they should already know like how to read and write, my grandfather (father too) worked as a miner at the Kiveton Pit and later when his body became too battered to work underground he became a teacher/trainer, but that's by the way). When all that dissapeared it wasn't replaced with anything, the schools however still churn out a never ending supply of poorly educated slobs who mostly commit themselves to a lifetime of having kids and living off of social benefits, from what i can tell there are four different types of people in Rotherham:

1. Immigrats, mainly Pakistani, Bangladeshi or Romanian/Slovenian - the vast majority of which are of no use to anyone and appear to spend most of their time getting their haircut or hanging around barbers waiting to get a haircut, seriously.
   
2. Shattered older people who worked in the heavy industries before they closed, most of them walk with a cane or walking-stick (if they're lucky); many of them are painful to look at, the vast majority haven't worked a day since their respective industries died, even the few who feasably could. Also their wives who look worse than they do somehow.
3. Scummy inbred white people in tracksuits; i don't like using the word chav, but literally chavs.
4. People who work in the shops in the town centre, mainly selling pasties and sausage rolls to obease mothers and their soon to be obease children.

Most of my stories involve an area of Rotherham called Eastwood, Eastwood literally the most wretched hive of scum and villany that you could ever with to visit; it's scruffy, dirty and the pavement isn't level either for some reason (probably dem immigints!).

Anyway i'll just regail you with a couple of stories for now, the first i shall call the Tale of the Four Seater Wagon, the second i shall call The Great Fire of Eastwood:

Okay so first off comes the tale of the four seater wagon, now i have to say in the years of working in and around Rotherham that i have noticed an odd trait amongst Eastern Europeans which is the belief that when a childs pushchair or buggy isn't occupied with a child it may be used as a makeshift wheelbarrow.

On a cold winters morn i was strolling along the crooked pavements of Eastwood, safe in the knowledge that yet another wonderful day in Rotherham awaited me when i observed a commotion, a vehicle had recklessly pulled out of junction causing an accident - well i say vehicle, it was a collapsable childs pushchair pushed by three men of Romanian persuasion, balanced ontop of the chair which i belive is the "cargo hold" for such a vehicle was a full three-piece suite with matching cushions. The men, in no way concerned about the accident they had just caused, proceeded to push their vehicle down the centre of the carriageway blocking off both lanes at the peak of the rushhour and dissapeared up one of the many sidestreets never to be seen again but destined to lead a more comfortable life if nothing else.

Now for the story of the Great Fire of Eastwood, about the halfway point of my journey to work there was a Kurdish restaurant, i never frequented the establishment because.... well Eastwood but it was always busy. Now my understanding is that there are small Kurdish and Turkish communities living in Eastwood and that unsurprisingly they've never gotten along, one day on my way home from work i was stopped by the police who explained that there was a massive fire along he mainroad and that i'd have to find anther way past, apparently a group of Turks had firebombed the restaurant, wrecking the establishment.

Months later i read in the local rag that it was an inside job and the owner of the restaurant had been sent down for insurance fraud, he had hired a group of Turkish men to firebomb his restaurant to claim the money off of his insuarance, a sad day for law abiding citizens and lovers of Kurdish cuisine but a good day for race relations in the town i suppose!
