The only thing I know about Rossane was that I keep seeing the name show up on the really late night line up on either Disney or Nick. Don't remember which.

Never watched it.

The script for the season 1 finale has already leaked btw guys.

It finishes on Roseanne's gender creative 9 year old finally becoming accepted in zer community for what zer zis.
It then cuts to Roseanne at a computer laughing hysterically as she types. She looks to the camera as she laughs "Gee, something as stupid and unrealistic as that could only exist in the fantasy of ones own imagination huh?" She then stands up and takes a bow infront of a large studio audience. She is cackling uncontrollably now.

"Come on out Donald, the jig is up!" Donald Trump then emerges from behind the set and puts his arm around Roseanne's shoulder after a long, and emotional hug. "Gee, it sure was hard to pretend to hate each other, huh Donald?" Trump nods is head in agreement and they both wave goodbye to the camera that is pulling up and away, showing the LIVE studio audience on their feet jumping and thrilling. "This is the real Roseanne saying goodnight everybody! And Make America Great Again!"

End scene.

And then secret service takes the headshot, her fat head explodes with premium gravy and fully intact chicken wings

If John Goodman isn't in it I don't give a shit.

It's not Roseanne without John Goodman. It's like cereal without milk.
Fuck whatever money-grubby kike decided to do this, I hope it crashes harder than ghostbusters.

I watched the first episode on Amazon and it's damn funny. Rosanne and Dan still have that great chemestry (as well as the rest of the family), Rosanne and Jackie's political bickering is great, the "gender creative" kid is just some cheerful oddball and not some pandering piece, and they had a great idea to bring in both of the actress who played Becky.

Sorry for the necro.

Nah it's fine, I was thinking of making a thread about this here anyway but I never got around to it.

Did you watch the second episode where they address Mark's cross-dressing further?

The show actually pokes a lot of fun at Jackie's beliefs and Mark (the grandson) is handled well without getting pedo or preachy. (Dan does make some understandable points.) He identifies as a boy (likes playing sports), just likes nice colors and unique styles and is a likeable kid. It's fun to see how Darlene ended up with a teenage daughter not unlike herself.

I'd actually say Harper is worse than Darlene in some regards. Sure we have no indication of she's as emotionally abusive as Darlene was to David, but Darlene at least had some form of respect for her parents as a teenager.

God how butthurt can you be about a TV show.

You should've seen The Mary Sue, they were preaching the reboot to high heavens (especially since there were be a "gender creative" child), but the moment they found out that Rosanne and her character are Trump supporters, they automatically claimed how that some reboot should just stay dead.

Yeah that little cow deserved all she got, the sink thing was amazing, but the shower thing was just beautiful in it's cruel simplicity.
I admit I clapped a bit with the sink trick, but the shower was the cherry on the revenge sundae.

I vehemently hate sitcoms these days but the first episode made me laugh quite a bit. I need to see episodes 2 and 3 now.
What exactly is wrong with the mordern ones since I haven't seen any other than The Carmichael Show?

I had missed last week's episode, but I have to say I feel a little bad for Becky here. Shouldn't have been a no-brainer, as others had pointed out, but for reality to hit her head-on like a truck so far into the procedure was still sad. At least Jackie was there to help lighten up the mood, even with all the "lol you're alone 'cause no one wants you" jokes being told to her face as she went to get the dog. The dramatic moments would've been so much better to me if my family wasn't being rowdy as fuck over dinner.

Even if it's just 'cause of his wrinkles, John Goodman makes the best faces, the staredown between him and Roseanne in the kitchen got a good laugh out of me.

It's always good to see Dan stand up to Roseanne, as you know you're about to get peak John Goodman once he realises what he's done and cowers.

Yeah, Becky got it rough in this episode, but it was her own fault for hyping it up to herself in such a massive way. Reality sucks, and Darlene brought up a good point when she said Becky needs to stop living like she's in her 20's. I will say that Becky lamenting over Mark was horribly sad though.

It makes sense since Mark's actor is dead. I totally agree with Darlene, but I did feel bad for Becky. (What do you think are the chances of her popping out a baby when she least suspects it?) I have a theory that Becky's husband died around the time Darlene's son was born and that's where he got his name.

The next episode will have Darlene and her husband crossing paths again and it will be interesting to see why they got seperated.
