Peter G. Neumann, computer science researcher who helped prevent computers from having security risks, died at the age of 93 on May 17th of this year.
Shame not enough people fucking listened to him. Lookin' at you, Microsoft. How fucking long did it take them to finally adopt data section execution prevention? And how is it that still breaks most Windows applications anyway despite it not technically being necessary for programs to even be aware it's enabled?
