This thing is going to go to court in what, Fall 2020? Spring 2021? We aren't even into what's it called, "Motion Practice" in front of the actual Judge/Court? Also wasn't there new Federal Precedent about Libel last month that impacts this case?

Does anyone know if Covid has affected the agreed upon schedule they put out? Has there been an amended schedule?

2021. According to the scheduling plan this year is to hash out the pretrial nonsense. The parties need to have their briefs for summary judgment ready for hearing going into 2021. Thanks to Waids grasping effort to avoid jurisdiction we already have depositions and most of the evidence required is already on the record. The discovery phase will be perfunctory. If Meyer succeeds in avoiding dismissal of the case in Spring 2021, we advance to the trial set up phase. Jury selection most likely in August, September 2021. Trial to be held most likely in October/November of 2021 if they hold to the framework of the schedule.

Or Waid could set more of his money on fire and appeal the procedural checkpoints all the way to the Supreme Court. In which case he could drag this crap all the way to 2023.

I dont see him doing that though. That is something multinational corporations do to avoid liability for anything because they have "fuck you peasant" money. I am cautiously optimistic of this getting before a jury in Autumn of 2021.

If King Baby had the money to take it to te supreme court he totally would. Fortunately he doesn't have that money and even his fans wouldn't throw that much into a GoFundMe. If he loses, what kind of payout will Meyer be getting?

No way to know at this juncture. That would require us to know what Waid is actually found guilty of doing and just what it legally cost Meyer. Which is yet another round legal shenanigans. Thankfully much quicker because as the fact finders the Jury gets to quantify the damage.
