Fame rarely equals competency. I begin to suspect that Zaid likely is more than a bit of a Sociopath. One of those who goes through life and career flinging lies and slander largely because the normies never ever seem to hold anyone actually accountable for doing so.
Don't sociopaths have weapons-grade people skills, though? Zaid increasingly looks like Don Quixote if he passed the bar.
Hollywood sociopaths do, real ones are just people. Like anyone else, some have great people skills, but hardly all of them do. Having your brain broken so you have no empathy doesn't actually automatically make you an evil genius.
Sociopath social game is often strong but even the strongest game is not without fault. They need the proper context to make it work. They have to pick their battles and keep the veil up.Don't sociopaths have weapons-grade people skills, though? Zaid increasingly looks like Don Quixote if he passed the bar.
So when
So when I previously said that Michael Mansfield and the other Brit QCs did the heavy lifting in the Libya case, which he then stole glory from, that was pretty much correct.
If he really was as great as he claims, he wouldn't be chasing ghosts and suing on behalf of falsified papers saying that Princess Diana was going to marry some Arab billionaire and was offed because of it
Still not sure who is funnier. Landau, a no name who is a complete huckster and failure of a lawyer, or someone who is a alleged Superlawyer, winner of awards, being this incompetent?
He's a zealot, and he found a lawyer that was either stupid enough to also become a zealot or ethicsless enough to act like a zealotSurely Waid had spent around $75k by now, with Super Lawyer and them in Texas? Wouldn't it have been cheaper to just settle out of court? In his deranged mind I can see "not wanting to let the Nazis win" but if I was facing a lawsuit from someone I saw as having unforgivable views, I'd rather not waste the time, money, and stress on the thing.
From the small snippets we have of Marks history, he would never admit fault or wrongdoing. He is the strong who protects the weak after all.Surely Waid had spent around $75k by now, with Super Lawyer and them in Texas? Wouldn't it have been cheaper to just settle out of court? Huh, I thought that the lack of empathy made them good at learning how to fake it- sort of like autism, but studying emotions instead of train schedules. Live and learn.

This dipshit is tripping all over his dick while exposing his client to ever deepening liability.
I love how everybody championing Waid is his own worst enemy. Waid, Zaid, Richard Pace, Renfamous all there to jump in and help, showing how just Mark was and it always ends up strengthening D&Cs case.
Yeah... That's not how he spun it though...Oh wow, I had no idea Zaid was part of Mohamed Al-Fayed's lawsuit. That is low, low, low.
For those who hadn't heard of it: this billionaire was the father of Princess Diana's boyfriend who died in the car crash with her. One way or another, the senior Al-Fayed got it into his head that the whole thing was a conspiracy between all the top American and British spy agencies to assassinate the two of them because some highly placed royals couldn't stand the thought of a Muslim marrying into the royal family. He made a huge fuss about it in the media and sued various governmental agencies, and apparently Mark Zaid was right there enabling his grief-fueled conspiracy theories for a few years.
And we are only a month in. At this point I wonder if the judge will take pity on Waid and order Zaid to stfu.
It's opposing counsel who should take pity at this point, and kindly offer Zaid an opportunity to correct the record about Waid's lies to the court, much as Kokkinos' lawyer did for LanDUI in the Ouzounian case. After all, it would be really embarrassing for him for the other side to be forced to do this, especially after Zaid has publicly confirmed that he's aware of this deception.
It would look really bad if he had an opportunity to correct this, knew about it, discussed it publicly, and somehow never found the time to correct the misleading filing. It would start looking like he thought the judge was some kind of fool, and that wouldn't be good for him or his client.
