Best move Mark Waid has made was switching attorneys. Looks like Reeves and Brightwell are an Austin based firm specializing in commercial disputes. i.e, the kind of lawyers you want/need when being sued over a commercial dispute in Texas. Wonder if Waid lurks this forum and took our autistic advice. Hi Waid!

According to Bounding into Comics, Zaid is still representing Waid but hired a local firm to work in Texas because he’s not licensed in Texas....

Edit: I guess this just means that Waid’s lawyer fees probably just doubled. No way does Zaid pay that firm out of his pocket just because he’s not licensed in Texas. Guaranteed he just passes the cost along to Waid

Well, he's not listed as representing him in the case, so he isn't. If he issues a formal notice of appearance or a motion to be admitted pro hac vice, then he will be representing him. As of now, though, he is at most advising him, not representing him.
And in that response, the person claiming to be Zaid chimps out in a salty enough way to show he is probably psychologically compatible with his deranged client, but states he will in fact be filing such a PHV motion.
If so, maybe we will be seeing some of the hilarious legal pratfalls we like after all.

Im calling it now, Waid took Zaid's phone and is sperging out on his accounts. If not, what are the chances these 2 are so similarly exceptional?

You know, in all the Lolcow and Lolcow threads, we have never had defense attorney engage in twitter sperg outs with random passerby. Its usually the defendants, not their counselors. It seems Mister "I sued Libya" is primed to deliver us the promised drama.
