tl;dr Zaid is a CIA snitch and likely a pedophile who only cares about his own ego

Zaid does not care about his clients. His cases are there to stroke his ego and provide billable hours. A webpage going into Zaid's history was linked around the time he was introduced. It went a bit far down the conspiracy rabbit hole, but it conclusively proved a couple things through court documents and archived news stories. It showed that Zaid and his co-counsel ratted out a CIA whistleblower client of theirs to the feds and gave information in a deposition that helped investigators. What's hilarious is that last year he started up a legal aid group with a former whisteblower called Whiteblower Aid. People who knew about Zaid's history called it a honeypot.

The second complete lack of regard for his clients during a high profile case comes from the Lockerbie trial that won him so much fame. Not only did the victims not even get all the money Zaid totally won for them on his own, but he personally vouched for an Iranian intelligence offer who said that it was Iran's doing and not Libya's. The guy seems like a lolcow who says shit for attention, but Zaid came out publicly and said he was the real deal based on what Zaid heard from his defense and intelligence community contracts. He's gone on record publicly saying that no new evidence concerning the bombing has come forward since the trial despite vouching for the guy who said it was an Iranian operation.

I just went back to find the webpage and low and behold, it 404s. Doing a search for Zaid on the sight doesn't brig up the article either. Thankfully @AnOminous knows to archive. You can find it here: https://archive.fo/ga1lL. Zaid is some brand of cluster b who masturbates to his CNN soundbites. Whether or not he also masturbates to the music videos of underage teen starlets is up for debate. He's probably going to cry to his CIA handlers and have Rackets wet worked when this case blows up in his dumb face.

How fascinating that this suddenly went down the memory hole. The rest of the site is there and this article suddenly doesn't show up at all, not even by a site search, so it isn't just a broken link from reindexing.

I really think someone might have made this go away.

Just in case someone thinks to scrub the archive too.

Usually either through falsified DMCA claims or by claiming the information somehow puts your life at risk. If you're a site administrator, you can also ask Archive directly and they will, but it only will remove ones that specifically exist and not snapshots since. For example: Sarah Nyberg's webcite archives and wayback machine archives got ripped after Izzy Galvez claimed that they were enabling death threats and attacks on Nyberg's life and property. Similarly Quinn got archives of her career in softcore porn taken down through DMCA claims.

It's possible to edit site scripting to prevent archiving, but that only prevents certain forms, and from google cache to snapshot there's tons of ways to back up webpages these days.

I mean shit does just disappear on the Internet from time to time.

It's just odd this particular thing did. From a conspiracy website.

While other conspiracy shit they have up remains completely undisturbed.

I mean why would this very specific thing disappear right now, when it's an article about a CIA snitch (and the documents cited by this article actually do absolutely prove this shit).

Zaid should answer some questions, but he won't.
 
Thanks for the info dump. So he's gone from Ghost Chasing (as opposed to ambulance chasing) to full on high Landau in his treatment of his clients, maybe even worse.

This doesn't really work without context. "What about the Chinese, Mexican, Jewish, Irish, or Catholic minorities? In many parts of the world, they are suffering, too." doesn't really sound like the DOUBLE TRIPLE KKKHITLER that Zaid is talking about but idk since there's no context. Not to mention the Silver Surfer doesn't usually center around racial tensions so....the guy in the letter kinda got what he wanted...sorta?

Edit: According to a bigger Silver Surfer fan I asked, there wasn't anything wrong with said character and the letter probably was complaining about a minor line. Been years since I read that run so it's not off the top of my head.

This is the anti-SLAPP motion to dismiss, right? Yeah, this doesn't fall within any category of protected speech I know of; it wasn't commercial speech, there's no attorney immunity aspect, and it doesn't fall within any of the explicit provisions of the TCPA.

My layperson's bet: They try for the commercial speech exemption, either misstating it or arguing for broadening it, and they fail.
