The vast majority is, and by that I mean a good 90%. There are lots and lots of private retro-trackers out there, many of them are spinning up right now to help keep anything particularly rare in circulation. The rare stuff will still be hard to find, cause you'll need membership to one of the trackers or know someone willing to do you a solid, but they'll still be out there.

Fucking dipshits, I torrented BSG at work. Cool boss who gave a shit never, Better speeds, higher ratio. The one rule he had was don't look at the customers pictures because peek squad got busted for that shit. And some of our customers were porn stars.

But I was like "Scan my hard drive right fucking now" and they were like "We're sorry, we're legally required to send the warning to you, no action has been taken on your account."

Fuck the DMCA. I don't respect it.
 
I'm glad I was reminded to renew the small retro piracy site I use. They stopped doing ebay donations. Their other option is Paypal, and since I was banned from Paypal(sure I have enough accounts and phone numbers to make a new fake account but I'd rather not) so I had to email them and ask how I can send them money for the year.
 
My AYN Thor order got cancelled on aliexpress. Many people think it was a glitch that had to do with the lunar new year.

Speaking of Thor, I installed Cocoon Launcher and even though it’s effectively “iiSU but actually good and not made by freaks”, it’s reminding me how much I hate the software experience. Your OS choices are:

Android
  • Initial setup takes an eternity
  • Changing emulator settings is a huge pain
  • Emulator hotkeys aren’t universal
  • Package installer (Obtainium) is usually broken
  • File transfer is a nightmare and usually decides to not work because fuck you
  • Syncthing is tedious and doesn’t work for certain emulators because of Android file restrictions
  • Can’t really play anything beyond emulators (there are Android games, but… lol)
Or Batocera:
  • Takes twice as long to boot
  • Sleep mode just doesn’t work mid-game
  • Closing the lid in the frontend toggles sleep mode (so if it system is already asleep, closing the lid turns it on and opening it again turns it off)
  • No multitasking
  • Basically no non-gaming apps of any kind (and no Kodi support)
  • Still in beta

Of course you don't. The bill wasn't introduced in your interest. Much like most of them. I'm so tired of seeing blurred logos on people's clothing on TV because it's easier to do that than potentially get a C&D letter from Schlomo Krumholtz, Esq.

People are already going hard trying to set up a mirror of Myrient. It all seems a bit confused right now, and the servers are getting absolutely slammed so it's slow going for anyone to get anything but I don't doubt that the people behind this will mirror 100% of the site contents and figure out some way to redistribute it all. Apparently one insane individual already had like 200+tb of the ~390 downloaded.

I've messaged AYN on like 3 different sites and haven't received shit on my order. All I want is to reorder at my original price but if the chinks won't talk to me then they can go fuck themselves.

Apparently anyone that preordered on Aliexpress had their order cancelled and refunded. Aliexpress will auto refund after 120 days if the order hasn't shipped. Reddit thread

They are probably being bombarded with emails from customers and it's the weekend. I'd at least give them another day or two. Retroid (same parent company) has been pretty good about getting back to me on the two times I contacted them.
 
I am archiving currently some of the myrient's content.
Do you know if it's normal to have overall speed download of all my downloading threads at around 10 Mbit/s? I made sure to put 1s sleep between downloads.
I used at first wget, but because it has issues with unicode characters, I am using currently WfDownloader.

I downloaded SGGG, a Sega Dreamcast game, because of the newly-released fan-translation.
The download speed was definitely slower... possibly throttled on purpose because of the fan reaction.
