And RE4 OG is still far better than the remake. They've had three tries and still can't produce a game that replaces the original like REmake did with RE1.

Normie retards in Youtube comments can copium all they want, but they're wrong and they know it. I'm also close to done Separate Ways and while I never was nuts about the original mode, this feels really tacked on and soulless.

The fact the title screen isn't Ada in the La Femme Nikita pose is another Capcom tardage. Completely tone deaf to what Ada is. And the fact that she's so conscious heavy in this while she was all business in the original is really grating. She's given an arc between RE2-4 in the original. A somewhat green agent that let emotion takeover, to becoming the super agent that was all business. In this, she's the same as she was in 2make with really no growth whatsoever.

I feel like I'm one of the few that never hated Sheva at any point. I thought she was a good character, a tanned White woman like most black characters. She always came off as mixed.

But you'll know what they'll do. Turn her into a black as shit mud ape boss bitch. They completely fucked Jill up in 3make. They fucked Ada up in 2make and 4make. They fucked Claire up in 2make.

Why would this be any different?

I agree about Ada in 4make, but how did they fuck up Ada or Claire in 2make? Other than Claire’s face of course.

But yeah, they’ll fuck up sheva in re5 remake. You know in current year capcom will make her into a we wuz kangs bitch.

A shame really. Chris arriving in Africa and being given a QT mutt girl that seemed to be in love with him from the get go, was one of the funnier parts of RE5. That and how Umbrellas ultimate lifeofrm (Ouroboros) was objectively just worse than most of the actual T-virus created BOWs.

Ada is a full on boss bitch in 2make. She is in 4make, but not nearly as obnoxious. There's nothing likeable about her at all. And her kissing Leon was really out of place when it was perfectly fitting in B scenario. She also scolds Leon over and over for having to save him. But then they change her to "where is Leon when I need him?" "Please help me get the virus, Mr Cop." What's the point of her cover story when she tells Leon about the G virus almost immediately? Her design is great, but she's a cunt.

Claire is a ugly skinwalker with a valley girl speech pattern. She behaves like some HR cunt. She constantly needs men to protect her in it and you need constant reminders she's a Woman. "Someone obviously trained you well" Marvin to Claire. Meaning, she couldn't be as skilled as she is without Chris, a man. When there's no mention of shit like that in the original. Whoever she's on the phone with in the beginning warns her of "weirdos", because they have to beat you over the head that she's a woman. At the end, she has to go hide with Sherry from the trucker because again, she's a woman. "My brother is STARS and he'll fuck you up" to Irons. I added the end of course, but that was basically what she was going to say. Why did she need to be dominated by Irons and tied up? She needs a man to save her. Original Claire didn't behave like that whatsoever. She was a strong character... because she was a strong character. Not because she was a woman, or needed help.

Which also reminds me how much they fucked up Annette too. All Annette was worried about William, until she finds out Sherry is in running around in that mess and in danger. Then every scene with her from then on is her trying to find her, and then trying to cure her. She sees her as just a big inconvenience in the remake. "She can't be saved." To in almost the same breath "I can save her at my lab."

Everyone is inconsistent in 2make.

They even make Marvin gentler with Claire because yes... she's a woman. In the original? He puts a gun to her temple.

Finished Separate Ways. Pretty meh overall. As I stated before, I wasn't like a huge fan of the original version but that's still better than this one.

I had U3 spoiled since I saw it on Twitch, but I didn't know at the time that Pesanta becomes it but I figured that out over the course of playing it. They didn't do a terrible job with it but the original is WAY harder than this.

I don't like how they sorta tease you'll fight Krauser like the original and it just never happens. So stupid that whole subplot of the rivalry between them just isn't in this one.

That monster that you run from in the laser hallway looks so fucking stupid. And why even include it if you never actually fight it? I was surprised they would add an entirely new enemy type... and then it's just another alligator run away cutscene.

I checked out the alt outfits. The China dress isn't bad if it was all red instead of having that half black area on it. I dunno if I feel it's worth to try to S rank it like I did the main game since I really felt numb to this whole thing. I did like the Regenerator encounters area that culminates with the Maiden that is head to toe in Plaga.

I guess I'll give it a 6/10. I guess it's worth the money just to finish the whole game experience out since it's cheap so that adds a lot to the score and there's unlockables. They added a lot of the things missing out of the main game that were in the original. But it almost feels like they never intended to make this and they shit it out in a few months to smooth it over with the complaints of removals.

The Wesker stinger felt flat. I liked the RE5 track cameo at the end... but no glowing eyes? Do they not remember that he's not human anymore? I was hoping to see him do something like I high jump or something in the cutscene he confronts Ada.

I didn't realize they added the RPD outfit into this thing finally. But since his hair is 4make length, he looks like a professional rapist.

Beat it twice, once on hardcore and then on professional, and it definitely felt like a b-team thing they put out to give the game more content while working on RE5make but for 10 bucks it is definitely better than I thought it was going to be. There was a decent amount of bonus unlockable stuff, too, and I'm honestly surprised Ada and Wesker in Mercenaries was part of the free patch rather than the DLC.
