It's stupid, but I couldn't help but enjoy it for how stupid it really was. This and Extinction were the only RE movies I enjoyed. The Final Chapter just really retconned everything we know about the movies, and it was absolute dogshit

Meh....re4 re itself was just a snoozefest for me. Like remakes are only for games that cannot be played by the modern gen consoles and pcs, but re4 OG can easily be played on any pc. Thus when I finished the nu re4 I was just not impressed and felt like I have wasted my time.

Capcom, should just make new resident evil and give more characters or better yet remake Code Veronica if they want to milk the remake business

who knows? may be better then the original. was never that good. not a sign of the big ship or "IT" yet.

CV really needs a remake just for how terrible the game feels to play and there's no way they can make it worse.

Although... 4make's shooting mechanics feel like a janky and unfinished feature which is the core reason I never want to play it again. How do you take the most buttery smooth and responsive feature out of a previous RE which literally defined the game... and then completely destroy it and implement the same shooting mechanics from 2make, which on their own are completely fine... but you make it ungodly slow for the reticle bloom to tighten and make it completely RNG when it's not focused? In 2make, you'd hit dead center but you'd do more damage with the reticle tightened.

In hindsight, I wish I didn't buy it. I haven't played it for months. Even 2make I once in a while go back to, but there's nothing to go back to in 4make.

I guess it looks interesting and finally, everyone can shut up about the other Verdugo.

But Wesker is there? Like... what? I don't know why they would give him the Beretta and it's not the STARS model... but we are dealing with current Westernized Tardcom.

But yeah it may be a better side story than the original, which I never was too crazy about to begin with.

I like the new gameplay mechanic. Looks overall more fun than the original separate ways, and at least separates itself from the base game enough. Wesker being at the island though feels odd and more like fan service.

Definite fan service. I would be excited for that for obvious reasons, but he looks so dumb this go around and his VA so generic. He's so ugly without the sunglasses.

I assume, whatever scene that was picks up immediately after she tells the pilot to change course.

well he wasnt using the samurai edge in the original re4 mercs, just a modified version of the starting pistol. Which, hes not in stars anymore, it makes sense, itd be fan service to have it.

he had his STARS model gun in RE5 and used it in gameplay when you fought him. it's likely they want to reimagine RE5 at some point so it's a bit dissonant for him not to have it in RE4 too.
