I played it recently and it's really good. I have to keep v-sync turned off on my pc otherwise the game will have a seizure for some reason. The screen tearing is a little jarring but I can ignore it once I get into gameplay. Guns are alright though the weapons in re4 felt more distinct. Sheva's pretty good, I gave her a sniper rifle along with all the healing items and she works great. The game has a lot of soul in it, everything from wesker's voice and personality, the boulder punching, and the overall story give it a pretty distinctive charm. You should play it.
Hey, at least Sherry was attractive in RE6, and had a decent personality. Nu-Jill doesn't even have that going for her.

Everything I've heard about the gameplay has me kind of excited for the remake again. From the cutscenes and voice acting though there's no way it'll be as good as the og.
In other piracy related news, some guy running a repack site tricked a bunch of idiots into giving him 400 dollars by claiming that he was gonna donate the money to empress to crack the re4make, then pocketed the cash.

The dialogue changes for which people have gone full autist about don't bother me at all. It's not a Bioware tier level of rewriting and retconning.
Though It would have been cool if they had also re recorded some of the classic cheesy lines and kept them as extra content.

Ashley not throwing her panties at Leon. I think the new line added in its place tries but fails to have the same effect. And I think this solely because of Leon still shuts her down. Not like he wasn't a secret service agent already tasked with personally protecting the presidential family.

She really is just reading lines off a page. Like she barely tries to inflect at all. I don't know if this is an issue of her sucking or the voice directing ebing bad but god damn, she was the worst part of this game for me. God I miss Sally Cahill as Ada.

Romero was weirdly really into this from what I read. There's a commercial he directed for 2, which was honestly fucking great and did an amazing job at capturing the aesthetic and vibe. I remember reading in an old gaming magazine that George refused to play the original resident evil, but instead had an assistant play it, so he could focus entirely on every minute detail of the game.

Possible. The studio they used for RE2r specifically used non-union voice talent. Its the reason they didn't bring back Allison Court to play Claire, despite fan demand. Assuming they are using the same studio, they may have changed actresses to avoid using union talent.

Salazar had a hilariously fake Spanish accent, Saddler was exaggerated, Krauser was too high-pitched. But the difference between them and Ada, is at least they tried. Even Wesker sounded like some effort was put in compared to Ada.

Since they didn't get D Coomer Douglas to do it. I would of killed to have Richard Waugh rightly back as Wesker. He was the best that's ever done it and Douglas clearly was copying him.
Douglas was too fucking hammy.
Waugh had such an air of sophistication to him. Which he peaked with by RE4.

Wesker also just has that certain voice that he had in all the other games. You probably know what I mean, even if he went from calm to yelling like from the previous games to RE5, he still had a voice that was recognizable.

Do we think they will give RE5 the remake treatment? I hope so, but I am afraid they will also cut on the cheese in that one. Guess they can't cut the boulder punching though.

RE5 needs to be reworked to be more of a horror game and less arcady.

They probably will after the ending of RE4 remake set up a sequel, but they’ll heavily censor a lot of stuff in it because RE5 is “racist”. Because of course retarded journalists had to bring up a talking point from 2009. I blame this article.

It does have the potential to be much more horror-based than the original one was. Ouroboros lends itself for fantastic shit and Chris hasn't gotten the remake treatment from the recent games, right?
