>nerf everything that isn't HUGS merciless abrasive bleed build

The only surprising thing is nerfing an enemy that one shots people, thought for sure they'd say some gay shit about a "participation trophy" again.
It's a good idea for an amulet. They should make one that does what it was doing but minus the explosion.

They should've just reduced the ICD, 5 seconds makes it unusable, 1 second makes it fine for a status build, especially with all these other status items and the whole new status class.
But it's gone back to being a useless paper weight like most rings and amulets.

To get the only handgun in the DLC you have to rely on RNG zones several times.
You also have to reroll a fresh campaign on any difficulty
  • *Requires a fresh campaign post-dlc patch. DOES NOT REQUIRE A PERFECT CAMPAIGN!*
  • Clear a campaign up to Root Earth
  • Reroll adventure mode to have an Ethereal Manor in a Losomn fire dungon, get grabbed in it and liquid escape then travel to ward 13. You can no longer die.
  • Ward 13, talk to Dran and get grabbed.
  • Reroll Adventure mode for Yaesha. Red Throne, talk to Dran
  • Switch to Campaign and go to the Labyrinth, talk to Dran
  • Reroll adventure mode for N'Erud Tal Ratha. Forgotten Prison, talk to Dran
  • Switch to campaign Root Earth, talk to Dran
  • Reroll adventure mode for Nightweaver Losomn. Tormented Asylum, talk to Dran
  • Pop Dran Dream
It's not worth it either, but again it's the only handgun in the DLC

It's like they didn't learn a fucking thing.

It's like they didn't learn a fucking thing.
It wasn't even the retard in charge of archon this time.

It's not really even that good, just another explosive handgun, but now it's a fusion rifle.

I don't know what's worse; the fact that this handgun is so stupidly difficult to actually get, and overall not exactly worth using... or the fact that I'm seriously considering going through the campaign again just to get a chance to unlock it. I admit, I do enjoy a good challenge; that being said, there's a difference between a fun challenge, and fucking the players over for the hell of it. Here's hoping that the devs stop doing ridiculous bullshit like this in the future.

The annoying thing is that you don't technically need a "perfect roll" for your campaign, but without it you have to reach the end of two adventure zones without dying, even on survivor you might get killed by some jank and need to go again.

If you want to make it easier to find the manor event, use the remnant save guardian, it isn't updated but if you get Sunken Haunt, Butcher's Quarter or Cotton's Kiln with no "injectable" then it's likely the manor is there.
Example of my Losomn adventure roll with the manor

Guardian also backs up saves, so if you die you can use a backed up save and try again.

Unfortunately, I play on PS5; I don't think I can get access to the save guardian. So... yeah.

DLC is pretty alright. The new shotgun is sick and Ritualist is exactly what I wanted out of a new class. A little barren content-wise, though what is there is pretty good. I was really expecting them to add a Nimue fight but you just kill her instantly in a cutscene if you choose to do so.
I tried this game but I quickly got unreasonably annoyed with the main char having something to say at the start and end of EVERY FIGHT. Just shut up dammit!
I just turned the voice volume off. Not like the story or VA is anything to talk about anyway, I'm just here for the game. If a location interested me, I'd just read the subtitles while the resident vendor dumped exposition on me.

Isn't the new shotgun like an incendiary lever-action? Also, is the Ritualist going to be meta, or no?

Yeah, fairly medium-range for a shotgun. Real satisfying visual effects on hit, though they can be distracting at point-blank. 7 shells in the tube isn't bad, either.

Ritualist does absolutely bonkers damage and annihilates crowds with the right setup, but relying so heavily on Elemental Damage/Status Effects means that your equipment choices aren't the most diverse. It also seems like every damn boss I fight has "Elemental Resist" as a tag which means the fun is over, time to switch builds. Annoying.

I don't know much about the meta in this game but Ritualist is certainly strong, and fun to play. Its Archetype Perks are a little weird and situational but its Prime Perk and Skills make up for it. I doubt many people will run Ritualist as a Secondary.

The shotgun's great, it's not meta at all but I enjoy using it.

Ritualist will probably be near meta once it gets fixed, it's archetype trait is bugged currently.
What it's supposed to do is take a 500 damage 10 second duration status effect and make it a 1000 damage 20 second status effect.
What it actually does right now is take a 500 damage 10 second duration status effect and make it a 500 damage 20 second status effect.
Simply put it halves status damage right now, but I didn't even notice because I don't have a problem killing things currently so it's just going to get very strong.

Bleed is also treated kind of wonky with status rings/amulets so I don't even use it right now.

HUGS will always end up being meta, but it's also boring as fuck, I am very much enjoying Ritualist/Challenger with sparkfire, I just wish they'd lower the CD on the energized neck coil to 2 or 3 seconds instead of 5.

Wait, what's HUGS? I've been out of the loop on Remnant 2 for a while; can you explain for me?

HUnter and GunSlinger, (or Gunslinger and Hunter, whichever prime perk you prefer) abbreviation was coined by some youtuber.
They're the strongest ranged damage increases from their traits and skills, most builds videos you may have seen are using those two archetypes and whatever weapon is currently overtuned.
But they aren't good if you're skill or mod or status based, guns are just very easy to use.

>only other good shotgun is a DLC weapon
I swear to god, this fucking game, man...

I've been testing the Anguish and it's better to just not bother charging it and using it as a shotgun, and the bullets can bounce, so it's probably one of the better shotgun handguns, and also a DLC weapon.

Both games popped up on gamepass a little while ago.

Lmao the annoying negress has whined about Old White Men three times in ten minutes. Fucking hell.

The good news is that after that you never, ever had to talk to her ever again. I figure they had to put her in their to get all the ESG crap out of the way. Clementine is just mad a Ford, not white people in general.

That's a relief. Between her and the cunty weapon mod creator in the first game, I was a bit concerned she'd be a constant noise in my ear.
