Really? I would have thought Falcon drivers would have been Australia's Mustang drivers.
I mean that in terms of doing stupid shit and plowing into crowds. Over here, Falcons were mainly used as workhorses (taxis, cop cars, sales reps etc): it was literally Australia's Crown Vic in that regard. The souped-up versions were mainly bought by boomers who watched the Bathurst 1000 religiously every year.

Interestingly enough, many disenfranchised Commodore drivers became Ranger drivers when Holden finished up. Possibly because the higher spec Rangers look like they were designed by Hot Wheels, possibly because they were so pissed off at GM they figured that the ultimate revenge would be to change teams.

Either way, Ranger drivers are some of the biggest cunts on Australian roads, hence the saying "You can't spell 'Ranger' without 'anger'".

from what i've gathered on aussie (big 3 usa manufacture) car culture, the falcon is exactly what you said "a workhorse car," any rwd holden platform car (mostly commodores) are driven to hell and back either racing or doing bogan type stuff, ranger drivers are like f-350 drivers in the states, and i don't know anything about chrysler in australia past the 70s because aussie mopar boomers cherish their valiant chargers.

Pretty much, though Chrysler was definitely the smallest of Australia's Big 3. There are a small handful of Mopar boomers who latched onto the 300C when it was sold here. Mainly the SRT.

Probably the biggest legacy Chrysler left is that they sold their factory to Mitsubishi, who were far more successful at selling cars than Chrysler was. Whereas Mitsubishi is a bit player in the States (do they still even sell cars there?), they're everywhere over here even though the factory closed almost 20 years ago.

I've wanted a Falcon XB ever since seeing Mad Max as a kid. 😁

Australia is interesting to me because I think it might be the only country outside of the U.S. that had a hardcore V8 battle between Ford and GM.

Actually... thread tax: Did RCR ever do a review on an Australian Falcon?

Like in america the usual f-350 owner is someone who was a chad thundercock in their prime, but now has a chubby wife and 4 kids and therefore sells his mustang for a new f350 platinum dually because he needs all the space for grocery runs, and maybe thinking of towing.

He did a review of a bf falcon xr6, and a xf falcon estate

It's that way here too. Chrysler has always been the smallest of the three in Detroit. Pretty much everywhere else they go, I think.

Cars, no. SUVs and crossovers, yes.

In fact, that's been a general trend among U.S. automakers too. The Mustang is the only car in Ford's U.S. vehicle lineup now, for example.

Well, he finally did it: he reviewed a Cybertruck.
I'd tell you about the review, but the thumbnail made my eyes roll so hard I spent a good twenty minutes inspecting my brainstem. And look, I hate the fucking thing too, it looks like a goddamn stovetop on wheels, but can you not be an insufferable faggot for ONE video? And before you ask, yes, a good half of the review is pseudo-intellectual filler that is totally not Mr. Regular trying to not admit he's the exact kind of miserable old man he bemoans so much in his reviews and that Furfag meetup from the start of the year.

Just watched. I think this shitty meme does a good job of summarizing my thoughts:

I have never been a fan of Tesla, even back in the early days when redditor types were glazing the Model S as the most important car since the Model T and the "by 2020, nobody will even want a gas-powered car again!" flavor of circlejerk was in fashion. Admittedly that's due in large part to my affinity for big boomer land yachts and seventies muscle cars, but I digress.

Coming out and saying the Cybertruck kinda sucks ass isn't exactly an earth-shattering revelation, but come on. Tying with the Olds Bravada as the worst car he's ever reviewed? Come on. And besides, at the very end he goes full mask-off and says he "hates the truck for what it represents" so it's pretty obvious a lot of his hatred is just seething about Mr. Musky and current year politics.

How does he handwave away the "truck"s owner not being a hecking chud.

Those types have never actually gone away, they just switched their glazing from Musk and Tesla to Xi Jinping and BYD.

They also love to glaze about Xiaomi, saying that they were able to make cars as a phone company, while Apple gave up. And they also buy into their CEO Lei Jun's marketing tactics, even though he uses Elon's same strategy of making extremely exaggerated claims about Xiaomi car capabilities.

Enhanced by Ford's CEO/Chris Farley's cousin dailying one and calling it the best car he's ever driven (now give me a whole bunch of money to fight it, US government!)

I'm not sure what's more cringe...these videos or the fact that he's like a year and a half late with this redditor-ass take.

Also, I disagree with the thread title. At least Red Letter Media is entertaining 🤷‍♂️

He's made the mistake too many other people have made. He ran with a broad and politically neutral interest for a while, and then made it political.

He'd already selected down his audience to 'people who will tolerate a screeching faggot who's a closeted furry who's no longer closeted he was here all along, he swears'. So the downside is minor.

Maybe, but he could have done so much better if he had not gone that route. I'd still be watching him probably.

Ian McCollum has the right idea with Forgotten Weapons. Keep the politics out of it, to the maximum extent possible, and you do better.

How many fans does he even have left?

The only time he gets political is when it directly effects guns. Or his ability to make videos. But again ian is a professional Brian doesn't want to be. He wants to be a forever child.
