I suspect it's a way for admins to further suppress dissent and squelch wrongthink (especially on the more based parts of Reddit where it would otherwise get up votes) while also giving themselves plausible deniability.Considering that Reddit is already subdivided into heavily moderated hugboxes, I wonder why they bother. Maybe to decrease the amount of human interaction necessary for moderation?
