It reminds me a lot like what happened to Digg, the whole focus on being friendly to advertisers and the mainstream.

Found some whiteknighting of IHateCisPeople, a cisgirl who pretended to be a transgirl and has a thread here:

A new r/Coontown-esque sub popped up, existed like 3 days before getting on the radar of r/AgainstHateSubs and the like, then got banned within 24 hours. The kind of content has me 50/50 whether it was an SJW false flag (pissed after Reddit CEO Spez's recent statement that racism is not a bannable offense on Reddit), or a legitimate retard. Seemed like they were actively chasing a ban, IMO.

I don't know who originally posted this and if they were serious, but it's getting meme'd a little lately:

One of these things is not like the others. One of these things just doesn't belong.

That pasta is ancient, but I'm 90% certain it's serious. IIRC, it was sourced from /r/GamerGhazi in early 2015.

This is /r/drama's favorite pasta. It gets posted literally any time they user ping someone and that person starts talking about how shitty the people in /r/drama are.

It was originally posted completely seriously and unironically though.

btw i recently tried the new redesign of reddit and it triggered my autism. I prefer the original look. New look is a shit.

It's the usual "optimized for mobile" script-heavy shit nobody needs. I especially like reddit because their site design is so simple, text-oriented and not too heavy on the browser. Far too few websites like that out there anymore.
I swear this 'tablet friendly' design trend is the worst. They did it to the WoW website some time ago and you can just tell it's meant to be fat-finger friendly on a tiny screen.

While at the same time I'm a fan of the logos and symbols in this era as well. Some emojis are even worthy of being called an art style and not just shit to satisfy facebook moms.

That said, fuck new Reddit.
