I am somebody who was deeply saddened by his death and find the celebration of somebody who was killed for having the wrong opinions deeply distasteful. But I also understand that freedom of speech is incredibly important and that I engage in just as much of it that the left probably finds equally, if not more so, distateful. The pearl clutching over Charlie Kirk's death was hysterical here. People who yell nigger tranny kill yourself at anything vaguely ethnic suddenly drawing a line at memes about a dude getting shot.
Pointing out the hypocrisy is one thing, but I saw Kiwis absolutely *livid* about this shit, before wordlessly retreating back into a thread to laugh at Indians getting hit by a train, or ICE gunning down Ernesto because he didn't move fast enough.
You could also make the point that the extreme reaction the right had towards it just encouraged the left to go even farther with their mockery, creating the legacy of Kirk memes that they hate so much today.
