Yup, it's the rule not the exception. Everyone I know who is a secret swinger in town is the most unappealing person either physically, personality, or both. At least they keep it quiet and don't write articles about how their life is so much better for being the town bike.

How do you even come across one in the first place? Are you invited? The only times I can remember stumbling across them in the wild were Craigslist ads.

I was told by a friend. I actually called ahead to ask if it was legal, not that I'm adverse to a little rough, but I just wanted to be sure I wasn't walking into a sting.
 
One of the most dystopian things I've seen in a while:

"A girl goes viral after getting stuck in an elevator with a group of immature guys and shut them all down when they started laughing" (Archive)

They aren't doing anything to her. None of them say or do anything out of line in the video, except one who makes a (fairly silly and inoffensive) two-word joke. And yet people absolutely despise them? I don't get it.

We have no context for what happened before or after. We're told they're "immature", but even that feels like an exaggeration based on what we actually see.

This is an incredibly mundane situation, one that would barely register to anyone if they were standing right there, that was filmed and posted online as if something happened. No one would think anything of this situation if it weren't presented to them in this format.

In other words, these lads are guilty of absolutely nothing other than living in an era where, thanks to smartphones and social media, simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time means you will be subject to the hatred and ridicule of millions of people. Imagine explaining this to people thirty years ago. No wonder kids don't want to leave the house anymore.

What these parents fail to understand that if this shit is on the Internet or anyone in his social circle finds out he will be an outcast and probably bullied to hell and back.

Very understandable reaction from the kid, the only sane thing these parents can do is tell him that they'll stop doing it (at least for as long as he's still living there) but this parent-child bond is likely irreparably broken, this isn't a thing you do, especially when you have children, this shit affects their life too.

The one person who I knew IRL in an actual poly relationship was a turboliberal, performatively queer black guy (think nail polish and makeup, calls himself bi but only likes pooner “men”) in an open relationship with a hamplanet fat activist/nonbinary/blue-haired white woman, who also dated other members of her species. As far as I know things didn’t work out between them and he’s still single and trying to be some couple’s unicorn.

reddit autobanned anyone saying "retard" to make themselves more appealing to investors before their IPO, they eventually walked it back but most people on the sub still use it since you still might get autobanned for it
WSB is one of the few "good" places on reddit, sometimes you'll get a thread talking about $RDDT as a stock and the comments are nothing but a giant meta thread talking about how shit the site has become
