That sort of thinking is from the insane coverage of stuff like Charlottesville and BLM where the media laid out a very clear good guy vs bad guy narrative. If you crossed the line even slightly you would be publicly shamed, "cancelled" and made to look like a fringe loner retard. The ADL and similar made it seemingly impossible to have any (public) large scale opposition, which made the weird leftist faggot clowns feel empowered, smug and superior. Combine that with an army of deviant transexual moderators quick to censor as much as possible and an upvote/downvote system to constantly reinforce the hivemind; it's easy to see why a redditor would think their asinine opinion represents the general consensus of the average person. It doesn't. Even blacks and Mexicans can't get on board with most of the shit they're spewing. It's generally extremely unfavorable - and it's increasingly difficult to ignore, which is ultimately a good thing when it comes to the Overton window.
