From my understanding, the actual syntax of Southern dialect hasn't changed fundamentally over the last 200 years while Ebonics is mostly patchwork where new euphemisms and "rules" are always cannibalizing the old ones.

I think it's not far from the truth - Southern American English is like a branch of a more archaic form; I'd go as far as to say that sometimes it may even sound almost British, mainly because of it's abundancy of dipthongs.

Ebonics doesn't really have rules, from what I observed - people try to make up "rules", as if to "teach" it to someone later, but it's not substantial. Being almost entirely comprised of euphemisms is a common trait of lower class dialects overall. It also easily bleeds into criminality - the infamous Russian "Fenya" dialect of the Odessite bandits is a great example of a dialect essentially coding what the people speaking it are conveying. A similar thing happens in Ebonics.

I remember back in the day it was a huge faux pas to refer to a black person as "articulate" or "well-spoken" since it implies that most niggers by default are not articulate or well-spoken (which is true, but we have to pretend not to acknowledge that.) This seems like the natural evolution of that, where we have to pretend that some ambiguously-sentient ape mumbling about muh dih or finna fuh a hoe is just as worthy of respect as literature or a speech written by someone with a strong command of the English language who carefully chooses every word and syntactical choice to best convey the point they're trying to make.

I don’t think suffering should be weighed against other suffering. Suffering is an individual experience that deserves to be taken seriously on its own. I know the title will offend many people, and I’m more than willing to accept criticism and downvotes. All I ask is that you hear me out before responding. This post uses parallels to emphasize the scale and horror of what is happening, not to equate animal rights activism with resistance to the Nazi regime. I'm fully aware the consequences faced by those who resisted the regime were far more severe. With that being said, I hope you’ll read this in good faith.
We live in a system where generations upon generations of families are killed in gas chambers, euthanized, experimented on, slaughtered and exploited in the worst ways imaginable, simply because they do not belong to our species. Yet, the media and large parts of society present animal exploitation as a respectful and ethical practice that is essential to human existence. Cow milk cartons in stores display happy cows grazing on green pastures, propaganda in its purest form.
Most people are complicit in this injustice. Among the few who are not, many are too afraid to speak out against the majority or too shy to engage in activism. At the same time, animal rights activists who attempt to liberate animals are arrested, prosecuted, and sentenced by the same system that encourages this mass killing.
When you meet people, they may seem kind and friendly, but it becomes increasingly difficult to look past what they support. It can feel as though they carry symbols of animal exploitation, a constant reminder of their affiliation.
And if animal liberation were to finally succeed, if animals could confront humanity and we were all summoned before a great post-liberation tribunal, a "Conference of the Animals" where we stood trial for speciesist crimes, what would humans say in their defense? Were you complicit in the exploitation? Did you benefit from the oppression? What did you do for animal liberation?

And they wonder why no one takes them seriously.

They mostly just try to paint it as a legitimate dialect like Southern or Midwestern dialect along with the typical charge of racism if you don't accept it as legitimate. One particularly amusing twist is when they liken code-switching to being multilingual (which actually makes them more sophisticated than you, chud!).

This isn't new. When Academics started to try and write dictionary's for native African languages they found them to be very shallow and with a lot of essential words missing. Instead of writing what they actually said and how they communicated they decided to fill in the blanks. Words like tomorrow and promise didn't exist, and white people find these essential concepts, so they merged other sort of similar words together and pretended those were real. In some cases you had "Maybe I'll do it" being used for "promise" which as you can understand, created a lot of problems when a negro tribesman "promised" to do something and didn't.

Trying to make sense of African languages through a white man's perspective is impossible. They're disjointed in ways our brains cannot function and we try to fix them which creates more problems. How do you live in a world without tomorrow being a concept? Or giving your word to do something? We don't function the same way.
