My Japanese friend became very… not friendly (self.japanlife)

So not really a question but more of a rant I guess. Kind of. Just need to type it because it’s just weird to me and I lost a friendship.
Have (had) a Japanese friend. Let’s call her keiko.
I’ve known Keiko for many years. She’s always been cool.
However, recently I saw a side of her I had no idea existed.
I live in Osaka but I used to live in Tokyo. So I went back Tokyo for GW to catch up with friends.
Met Keiko. We were just talking and drinking. She said she had a new hobby. I was like ”aight cool, what is it?”
And this girl straight up says ”reporting foreigners to immigration”
It sounded so absurd to me and I thought she was joking. So I asked if she just reported random people as a joke and she said yes. Basically people she sees on instagram that she thinks are doing illegal crap.
She started talking specifically about a dude that works as a host in Shinjuku and posts a lot on instagram (I can’t remember the name but he’s pretty big on insta and I think we all have seen him) and that ”he’s a foreigner and he has no right to bla bla bla”. I said that maybe he’s half or something, who knows. She got pissed and said I didn’t get it. Then she implied that she was gonna report me. And that’s when I stood up and left.
In my 11 years here I have never had such an unhinged conversation with anyone. Even people that really didn’t like me never went that far.
She’s probably always been like this deep down but I’ve never realized nor have I heard her talking like this in the past.
There’s not much more to say about this girl than that I guess.
Just needed to share because I’m… well disappointed.
God forbid you say a minor-felt opinion on any of the faggot show subs. (The Transformers one will have half their base 41% within the next 5 years)
