Then they're pussies.
An act which did precisely nothing to affect the individual's firing, because Jim has no power to affect that.
If someone gets gravely offended that a conservative is publicly gloating on social media when a socjus retard gets fired, they're just as emotionally frail. A good number of content creators were gloating when the Missouri I NEED SOME HELP OVER HERE bimbo got shitcanned, something I don't personally think was merited. But I don't fucking care, because I don't turn to them for approval of my position in the kulturkrieg.

I was calling you fragile, not an asshole. If your asshole is fragile, seek medical attention.

Not in any of the actual content or work he's put out on the channel. Again, you'd have never known if not for the fact that people went out of their way to find it, went out of their way to call attention to it. He would have just been boring and uninteresting otherwise.

Just as soon as he does, I'll make a twitter and do it. Twitter's fucking cancer and he's done nothing in any of the content worth looking at to give a damn about. Dunno if you've noticed, but the world would be a better place if no one gave a shit about social media. I do my part by actually not giving a shit.

I had a session last night of going back and forth with a guy insisting HE wasn't mad, I was mad last night. This approach doesn't really work.
If you can't separate art from artist, I think that's weak. Jim is boring and the Re:View of strange brew would have probably been more fun with Colin.

If you think the content sucks or has dried out, I've consistently taken no issue with that. It never gets old for me, but it hits a perfect combination of wry humor with people just enthusiastically talking about things they enjoy.
It's the "I don't like them/him because of their/his politics" thing that I think is cancer in every single form, in every single medium, in every single instance.

It'd be different if this was a case like where Tim Heidecker pulled strings to kick Sam Hyde off of AS - that was gay shit. I haven't looked at Heidecker's shit as much since, though I still think he's sometimes funny. Similarly, if Mel was actually a genuine member of the American Nazi Party or if Kramer was a wizard in the KKK -- but none of those are the case.

"Something that he had nothing to do with."

I disagree. Dude has made himself an active part of cancel culture by celebrating this. People who celebrate the authoritarian angry mob are part of the problem.

And, again, I've yet to see you tell people like him to "leave politics out of it," like you are with everyone else. You're white knighting just because he's been in RLM videos.

It's possible but they don't do anything that would ever get them kicked off the platform. It does bring to light just how much their entire business hinges on 1 single platform. It's never good to have all your eggs in 1 basket. I'm not really sure how they could remedy that though. We saw game grumps do that with all their little spin off businesses and it all sucks. But they really should have some sort of exit plan in place. They have a studio and editing experience, they could make something work.
They can always venture back to vcr repair full-time.

Never thought I'd ever see Jay saying this, Thanks Zach Snyder.

By this same logic, anyone that makes racy jokes is implicit in "white supremacy" under progspeak, and should similarly be blacklisted. Those people are also retards and pussies.
You are the flip side of the outrage culture coin. I can't stand any of you.
And, again, I've yet to see you tell people like him to "leave politics out of it," like you are with everyone else.
I just explained to you that you have to go out of your way to get mad to find him "injecting politics" into... what, his personal twitter? His politics are not in the videos.
The act of coloring his videos by some retarded shit he said he approves of on twitter is injecting politics, because you'd say he was umm actually based if he spouted off some retarded shit about how voter fraud really happened.

And on that topic, I think the belief in voter fraud is as retarded as pushing for cancel culture. Given that it seems to extend primarily from retards who don't read reports, who don't read bills, who don't know political processes, who can't explain how a single absentee vote is tabulated, and who gleefully handed the establishment all the excuse it needs to crack down ever more on free expression -- all just because they couldn't fucking cope with their first election loss. I'm going to suffer the consequences of people spouting this shit.

Know what I'd do if I found out that a guy like Brendaniel tweeted out that he believed in voter fraud allegations and supported calls for secession / civil war?
I'd keep watching his videos because they have nothing to do with any of that political shit. When Jim on an episode of Re:View turns to the camera and says that conservatives should be put in camps, I'll tell him to leave politics out of it.
imagine simping for the worst of the canadians this much
Imagine having a belief that isn't dependent on other people giving you upcummies for it.

imagine calling an opinion on fat slops who review movies a "belief"
"Art should be judged separate from the artist" is a belief, yes. Or are you suggesting otherwise here?
"Things are better when people don't go out of their way to inject politics and purity tests into entertainment" is also a belief I hold, but you weren't originally the one making that point.

I need to hear more about this. I saw the movie on TV years ago and thought it was creepy. (And obviously terrible.)
It's actual a fun dark comedy uncut. 4 stars.

Wrote in a week, filmed in two because a producer had access to a t.rex robot. When he got the film, he was expecting an all ages family film. Not some gory boner comedy.

That only applies to HitB. It shouldn't affect BotW or Re:View.
With BotW how many times can you tell similarish jokes about similarish movies though? They've done an awful lot of episodes now, even when they find a good movie a lot of the commentary isn't particularly unique.

That's just the way shit goes though, I wouldn't attribute it to any particular failing of theirs. It's why they constantly have guests or gimmicks, because they recognise you have to do something to change the general interactions.

Bring back Nerd Crew, Keep doing Re:views, and maybe do some actor/director themed BotW would be my suggestion.

Make Mike and Rich sit through 3 awful italian horror flicks by some savant Jay worships, then have Jay geek out while the others dunk on him and the films. Roger Corman films from different eras of his career. A David DeCoteau episode. Then there's some great/entertaining actors who have been in utter shite like Lance Henrikson, Rutger Haur, Gary Busey and plenty of others that they could have an entire plinketto/WotW setup with.

I honestly think they should lean into the gimmick/themed episodes a little harder. Might mean more individual episodes don't have as quite as broad of an appeal, but I think it would go a long way to elongating the overall appeal and help keep the franchise fresh,

It it where the most memes and laughs come from though.

Yes and no. They thrive on trends and comparisons with current culture.
You can only reference a shit BotW movie with The Avengers as a joke before it gets stale.

And COVID gets to you personally, for them and for the viewer itself.
Here's hoping all the movies will start coming back after the post corona.

That's part of why I think it's something of a niche taste. I could watch these shitty old movies almost endlessly. Watching the lads suffer bored through a flick with -nothing- going on appeals to my schadenfreude, and I find that era of VHS trash to be fascinating. With less fresh stuff to keep things interesting, people are probably watching more BOTW than they were previously, where the repetition becomes a bit more evident.

I don't think they've run out of gems or good-bad content; I think it's more that BOTW has always been mostly duds and stinkers, but less people consumed them as regularly.
Fuuuuuck, the Diamond Fox video was just straight up deleted.
Looks like the copyright claim is by some shitty record label associated with her that smells money in the water, this ONErpm Light.
If society ever does fall apart, the music industry should be the first to hit the gallows.
I didn't realize they straight-up made a joke about diamond cobra vs white fox deletion right in the video. I actually love how sloppy and rushed this one feels
