I don't hate Mac's friend at least when he isn't on the panel. I think everyone involved kind of figured that out too. His jokes during screenings like the director of Project Winter Beast thinking that lighting a scene is impossible for a mere mortal were funny enough.

I also think some of the guests benefitted greatly from multiple appearances and had a rougher first time.

S: The Canadians
A: Len, Tim
B: Jessie, Jack, Gillian
C: Mac
D: Josh, Freddie, Patton Oswalt and whoever else I forgot.
So bad they had to delete the episode-tier: Max Landis

Mac would probably be higher but he always brings along his annoying buttbuddy. And they had him on WAY too much in such a short time.

And if we're talking about the main three:

SSS: Mike
S: Rich
A: Jay

If I could wish for a BOTW it would be Mike, Tim and the Canadians. Extra points if all of them are extremely drunk.

Max Landis was alright, you could tell Mike wanted to make fun of him like he does Rich for his weirdness. Then Max got metoo'd and down the memory hole lol

the first time i saw the max landis episode i was several drinks deep and i thought “well here is a batshit motherfucker who doesn’t get enough attention at home, cool hoodie tho” and his on-screen antics were very LA but whatever.

several watches later, as i am a BOTW serial rewatcher, i have had to remove him from my personal playlist for the screeching. also he’s a rapist shitheel apparently, that doesn’t help matters. but i suspect they only got to mac through him so silver linings, kiwis. silver linings.

guest stars are fine and all but if mike and rich aren’t both in the screening room i’m not interested.

Who wouldve thought max landis taking the tape to mac was a documentary but they switched max and mac's roles

Doesn't Jack know about MovieSlobs aggressive behavior towards womyn? Or that time he was rabidly defending Cuties? Someone should inform him. Also I just thought of how funny it would be to have Rich Evans read and react to movie bob tweets.

Jack is as much of an NPC as Bob, he's just better spoken and has the sense to keep his mouth shut more often.

Has Jack ever really said a bad word about anyone? I mean, this is the dude who makes overly exaggerated shocked faces at 9/11 and AIDs jokes. I think he's way too worried about upsetting anyone to ever actually say anything bad about anyone.

When people tried to call him out on defending Bob, his response was "Fuck off."

In Jack's defense, I don't think he gives that much of a shit about people's politics.
He's just a normie nerd.
I just took a brief look at his Twitter and I can't find any political tweets, it's just not something that matters to him.

If you completely disregard MovieBob's Twitter, he's fine as an internet content creator, he introduced me to some really obscure movies back in the day.
Sometimes he lets his political sperging leak into his videos but not that much.
I can understand why Jack likes his stuff.

Plus, talking shit about people you previously worked with, especially if it's the same company you're still at isn't a good PR move and would reflect poorly on the company for ever hiring them at all.

Culkin's friend had an anxiety attack that ruined the Roar episode.
I legit found his anxiety attack hilarious but i was definitely laughing at him and not with him. If he was faking or exaggerating at all I wouldn't have been amused but his reaction looked genuine. If you can't laugh at someone acting like a little bitch at something playing on a screen, what can you laugh at?

I'd bet money whoever edited the episode kept that part in specifically for that reason too.

Yeah, the guys clearly deliberately made him recite the plot summary because he had an anxiety attack over it, which was a mistake because Rich had to go in and save it.

I couldn't imagine him being unironically entertaining in his own right.

They have no choice but to have Culkin on the show again, he's already set up a nest in the crawlspace and try as they might they can't dislodge him or force him out. They tried pest fogger but it only seemed to make "Mac" stronger and more hostile.
