I think Plinkett still has steam, just not with Star Wars.

Every film Youtuber shits on Star Wars at this point. It's just boring. I'd rather they do Plinketts on other films.

Plinkett as a joke needs some reinvention. It’s not hopeless, but if we get another Plinkett episode I would like a new spin on the character.

Plinkett should be done maybe once a year for a special movie.
For it to be good, Mike needs to spend a solid 2-3 months autistically ripping the movie apart and going through all the special features, interviews etc.
Their other stuff is very spontaneous and unscripted but Plinkett stuff needs a ton of pre-production.

And that was really good and proves Plinkett is still worth using every once in a blue moon, but I'm fine with him being on the backburner if it means more time devoted to stuff like Best of The Worst.

The Picard Plinkett review demonstrates the character only works when they (and Mike especially) actually cares about the thing he's reviewing, or (as with Baby's Day Out and Cop Dog) is working on an elaborate joke. When it comes to Disney Star Wars, it's fairly obvious the guy does not give a shit at all. The TLJ reviews had some good stuff, especially regarding the movie's deliberate comedic pacing and why it was a disaster, but at the end of the day I think they've moved past Star Wars. And really, who can blame them?

Indeed, who in their right mind isn't over Star Wars by this point? Whatever mystique the franchise once has been sucked dry both due to oversaturation and woke politics, which especially suck the fun right out of everything they touch.

There really isn't anything more that needs to be said about it, it was ruined, it's done, it's finished, they had a golden opportunity to bring it back and instead fucked it up even worse, so stick a fork in it.

Am i gonna get yelled for not wanting to go through 300 pages and just asking for quick Quick Rundown on any drama that has involved RLM or their personalities?
There really isn't anything of real note. A few very very minor things but I wouldn't call it drama.

Mike and Jay had a feud decades ago, before RLM, with a few funny details including forum sockpuppeting, drunken declarations of love to a girl, and profuse vomiting. Rich's parents were drug addicts so he was raised by his nan, and it's one of the reasons he doesn't touch booze etc. Those are some very old interesting factoids that might count as drama once upon a time?

They unlisted the Max Landis episode of BOTW after he was metood for the dozenth time. Jim, the canadian, is an insane leftist on twitter and beardfat isn't much better. Jack Packard announced he was one year sober recently, claiming that he was a long time alcoholic.

Reality is that they are all very private people that don't get particularly involved in other online personalities' business. They make their youtube videos, keep most of their fan communication locked down to their patreon (and even then it's sparse), and are seemingly quite content to just keep doing what they're doing.

Oh yeah, i remeber that /tv/ thing, its the one with classic gilchrist or whatever, right? always thought that was chris trying to get attention for his autistic brony show.

Good for them for being private people, if theres one thing i've learned from all my years following e-celebs, its that your personal life being out there is the best way to ruin your career eventually. good for them, i guess not being naive millennials and being from midwest where people are lot more closer to reality helped them a lot.

I would only add to this that Jack started working with The Escapist and has had a handful of collaborations with MovieBob, which made people fairly antsy because Bob is fucking psychotic. Jack's profane defense of him when people tried to point this out on Twitter only made things more unsettling. That said, nothing much has really come of it.

I've seen Jack mentioned a couple times in the MovieBob thread, but people have mostly been pointing out that Jack's been doing pretty well on the Escapist so far. Not a big draw like Yahtzee, but already doing better than Bobby's anemic numbers. There have been attempts at a podcast with both of them and some other guy, and someone reported how lackluster Bob is in a podcast format, while Jack more or less holds his own. Makes sense when Jack has had considerably more experience with long-form discussions with other people, while all of Bob's content is heavily edited and scripted. I know opinions about Jack's contributions to RLM are mixed, but I'm happy for him that he realized he had a drinking problem and worked to sober up.

In this day and age when pretty much every internet personality ends up having massive skeletons in their closet (as seen in the recent Rooster Teeth sex pervert scandal), it's pretty remarkable that RLM continues to be almost entirely drama-free over a decade later. A lot of people could take a page from RLM's book about work/life separation. I remember growing up how we were constantly warned against sharing too many details about our personal lives online, but after years of social media, it seems that most everyone has been conditioned to share everything, which inevitably gets them into trouble. The internet never forgets, after all.

Holy shit, he doesn't drink? Then why does he look like E.T. became a client of the Make A Wish Foundation / Palpatine after his electricity fight with Samuel L Jackson

TL;DR:
Jay used to be a huge incel and Mike has cucked him numerous times. One time Jay fell in love with one of their actresses and went to a frat party with her. She got gangbanged in a side room while he threw up in the bathroom screaming "IM DYING LAUREN." This was all leaked by some faggot they worked with on that gorilla movie.
