Same thought. Between that and not cutting his hair dude is definitely depressed.I can't tell if it's the coat or Jay is gaining weight.

Every single auxiliary member of RLM is annoying on twitter. Josh and Jack (who has now spent days liking everything Movie Bob tweets) get the most attention but the Canadians are annoying too.
Jim is currently being praised on resetera for this

If he tweeted in favor of Tucker Carlson he would have thousands unfollowing him and someone would probably try to get him fired off his job, but he's acting like a hero for losing 4 followers? It just seem removed from reality at best, even if you agree with his gist.
In contrast, RLM seem to almost have a company policy to not engage on social media. Mike could easily be using the official company twitter to trash Trump all day, since so many others seem to, so that's something.
But it makes me wonder if and how much they do discuss political stuff off camera, and if due to more and more personalities feeling the need to signal where they stand, RLM will break that policy eventually.

I always enjoyed Jack playing the straight man/butt of jokes. While Rich filled in the "lovable doofus" part of that role, Jack would sometimes play the "naive innocent" version of the role. I dunno, I laughed at his horrified shock more than once.Personally I don't like Jack much, he never really added much to the discussion IMHO. And Josh is a major annoyance, I have no idea why the trio keep bringing him back.
It's also what makes it worthwhile to go back and watch RLM videos again and again. And the fact that they're willing to leave politics at the door when making RLM videos shows that they aren't total jackasses, the true die hard SJWs would try to use whatever platform they could to spread their message no matter what.

Well I posted it on the Trek thread. Here's what you have to look forward to.

Who the fuck is watching this shit? There must be a decent enough viewerbase for modern star trek for them to bother creating this garbage. I know plenty of star trek fans, but absolutely zero people who like any of the tv series after enterprise
Freddie Williams is the superior Josh. His Horse Ninja Re:View was genius.I like Jack, he can be the straight man or get goofy depending on the situation. To me, the best line up has always been Mike, Rich, Jay and Jack. Josh is okay, but I think people is sour on him because he tended to be too serious, but has gotten a lot more relaxed. Jim are Colin are ok, Len is great. The Mac is meh.
Like Mike said in the Picard Plinkett review: bots. They're all bots. That's a great question. I know one person who watches Discovery and does so strictly as a ST completest, and I know a bunch of people that checked out Picard out of curiosity and didn't like it.
I'd love to know who the actual fans of modern Trek are and what their defenses are for this shit.

I think it was in the Star Wars thread that I saw some enlightening discussion on Hollywood accounting, but I don't remember who posted it. Either way, my understanding is that there's so much fuckery going on in Hollywood that it's possible to get away with all kinds of shit before anyone actually asks "okay, but is this really making us any money?" Between very creative accounting and greenlighting projects that don't go anywhere, the goal is to keep up appearances, keep investors thinking that everything's going okay, and hope that enough of it works out to let you keep the scam going.I honestly wonder about this.
I'd think that in the old days of broadcast TV, it would be possible to make bank on a series with no audience but high ratings (because of tinfoil hat conspiracy shenanigans).
Is it possible to make money today almost entirely through bots? I'd think that when the rubber hits the road, you need subscriptions. Someone has to be paying for this.
Star Trek is fucking dead.
"Picard becomes a robot, Maybe Spock gets a cell-phone, Has Kirk ever fucked a bear, Or, how 'bout a crazy wedding? And something happens a do-do-do-do-doooo..."Its reanimated corpse keeps shambling around though, looking like a pile of rotting garbage and reeking to high heaven.
Once or twice was fine, but he started to piss me off appearing in every video. The BunnyEars ad and that other guy lurking around in the background felt very un-RLM.I actually think Mac episodes are pretty good, though that seems to be an unpopular opinion here

The hangers on are fine, except for Max Landis and Patton Oswald.
I actually think Mac episodes are pretty good, though that seems to be an unpopular opinion here. He comes off as kind of an arrogant guy, but at the same time he doesn't get sensitive about it when they bust his chops over it. I like his chemistry with Rich too.
I agree with this.
Am I the only one that actually enjoyed the Max Landis episodes?
Max is... a complicated figure, yes he's a douchebag but he's got a certain energy that makes him entertaining to watch and he had good chemistry with the RLM crew.
Of course it was best as a one and done.
