Nice. I definitely want to check that one out. I'll admit I only really watched streams from games I knew, because Rich and Jack prattling on for hours on end isn't something I wanted to do for just anything. So the Berserk video was *my* personal best example.
Definitely look forward to seeing a prime example of Rich at his worst.

Poor Karin. I don't even think she looks that bad (I mean the pool shot shows she's actually decent), but the way she dresses normally with that face, yeah, I can see the total Rich Evans comparison. But hey, that's usually why women want to doll themselves up, right? I guess she doesn't feel that way.

I agree completely, Previously Recorded honestly made me almost hate Rich Evans and I feel bad for saying that, but I just do not like the guy's views on video games at all.

It wasn't even the one that made me the angriest but a perfect example of just how bizarre their takes were is when they mentioned that turning the music off in Cuphead completely changes the feel, like no shit, it's supposed to have music, why in the flying fuck would you ever turn the music off in the first place? Closing your eyes while playing would really change the feel of the game too, that's the kind of shit they thought passed for criticism of games? It was the epitome of "we literally have to invent a reason to complain because we're too fucking cynical to just admit when a game is great"

Don't get me wrong, I love Rich otherwise and am perfectly willing to compartmentalize Rich the gamer from Rich the movie guy and forgive him for his shitty gaming takes, but it was a mercy when they ended Previously Recorded, an absolute mercy, one of the smartest things anyone has ever done on the internet, nobody needed to be wasting their time with that bullshit.

I think I saw a Pre Rec where Rich said they basically were friends since they were kids and just ended up getting together in their 20's or something, which I took to mean that Rich pined for her his whole life and finally wore her down lol.

Then again, I might just be filling in blanks worse than it was cause I'm an asshole. It's been forever since i saw Pre Rec.

I think you're correct. I didn't hear that whole story, but I did hear the 'wear her down' and "I didn't think I could get her, because she was her, and I was Rich Evans" kind of paranoia he had regarding it in high school. I wasn't even sure Rich was referring to her with that story, actually. (I thought he had loftier goals, but this is Rich after all.)

Also, for the record you won't find a bigger RLM fan than me, so when I criticize these guys I do it from a place of love.

Pre Rec was an interesting experiment that simply didn't work out, it's no big deal.

Gonna slightly disagree. Previously Recorded was pretty great when it was game reviews. My issues came from the streams; because even if they were games I cared about, or the whole cast was there (one of my favorites was QWOP and Don't Shit Your Pants, as it had almost everyone), they were simply too long and pointless most times.

When you only know people from their online personas, that kind of time with them casually is probably going to wind up annoying more than anything. "Don't meet your heroes" and all that. So while I don't miss the streams, I do miss the game reviews; I have rewatched them just as many times as any other RLM thing. So for me, that did work.

I understand. They aren't the easiest duo to enjoy. It's just that I'm always a sucker for game reviews; in fact, it was one of the things that really got me watching Youtube at all, even when I didn't know anything about the subject matter or really game myself. They've always been fascinating to me.
