I enjoy how RLM only give us little tastes of their politics while leaving them kind of vague; they shit on all sides without seeming like aimless fencesitters.

Their thing about "manbabies" in this HitB isn't probably what a lot of their fans want to hear, as they'd like to believe that Make and Jay hate the SJWs as much as they do. Instead, RLM shit on the celebrities for being tone-deaf at the beginning, and then shit on the embarrassing people that would devote way too much time, effort and anger to some shitty product that is only designed to make money. Posting opinions people want them to post (for either success or pandering for money) gives away power that they'd rather not cede.

What was the BotW where one of the films they watched "opened straight on gang rape" ?

Nail Gun Massacre.

The new video is great. Had me laughing multiple times. Good stuff.

And even after they mentioned the "manbabies," Jay just plainly said something along the lines of "You know, if you just focus on making a good movie at the end of the day, then nobody will complain." Yup. Pretty much.

I don't mind RLM shitting on this "culture war" stuff, because it deserves to get shat on. While, yes, movies like Captain Marvel and Ghostbusters 2016 suck ass because they push agenda over story, I think that a lot of YouTubers covering it deserve the ridicule. Brie Larson sucks; I get it ... But whenever she says or does anything at this point, these people will make dozens of videos about it and be cringey reactionaries. It's really not any different from people who are reactionaries about every single thing that Trump says. lol.

People that post stuff like this don't actually watch RLM. They have no idea what RLM is really like. They're just tired of cynical, mean spirited, unfunny people telling them to watch RLM.

People in RLM could find some nice things to say about Fan4stick, The Fanatic, and Freddy got Fingered, but hate Independence Day. Those are opinions that can't go with the lowest common denominator.

Stoklasa is growing into his latter Orson Welles phase. All he needs to do now is to eat two rare steaks and drink a pint of vodka for every dinner. Oh wait, I hear Stoklasa already has it covered.

Does anyone else think it's a shame Universal fucked up the "Dark Universe"?

Because the idea behind it was solid, the Universal Monsters are basically the OG icons of nerd culture, before Star Wars, before D&D, before Star Trek, heck even before The Lord of The Rings, you had Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolfman, the Mummy and the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

So they deserve to share the spotlight of the MCU era, the trouble is Universal tried to ape the MCU formula too much and went too heavy in the action direction instead of, ya know, the horror.

I've really got no real feelings about the Universal monsters. The Horror genre itself is in disarray so I don't watch any horror movies. The only real scary dracula was Nosterafu because of how fucking unsettling he looks in his movie. Outside of that all of them have been run into the ground and The Wolfman can't be modernized because he would just be captured and raped by furries. Like some kind of Lycanthropy cult with body horror would be the the most you could get out of a new Wolfman movie to make it interesting, but more than likely they would go with twilight bullshit.

The only way they could really work would be period pieces. Like the early 16th century to late 19th century.

Yeah, the impression I get of RLM is that they hate stupidity in all forms. It reminds me of Trey Parker and Matt Stone of South Park fame. They’re willing to call anyone out. I also like how they keep their content politics free for the most part.

Satirists can't hold sacred cattle.

Also I hated both the new IT movies because they were nothing but scary clown screaming sounds. But that's what most horror films are now.

I really like more atmospheric stuff where there's build up and lots of tension

Actually the "avengers of a different time period" does sound legit interesting and more entertaining for a movie. (yes, I do know about LXG)
