RLM is so dedicated to content that they have forgone the desire to breed...a dedicated crew with no children...reminds of of a certain show that I can't put my finger on...

I doubt they have no contact with other film youtubers, including female ones. But the only woman I've seen show any possible interest in appearing on their shows have been crazy hags like Allison Pregler.
The more I think about it the more I prefer it this way. Their lack of youtube collaborations is a favorable trait. I hope they keep it that way. Celebrities might be fine but they can dial back on the wacky Mack. Allison only cares about getting subs and fame while adding absolutely nothing to a discussion beyond "omg isn't this crazy?" They have nothing to gain collabing with her and everything to lose so thankfully it'll never happen.

I wouldn't say he was particularly harsh with her, but I did find that back and forth really unusual, she was actually making a really good point in "I can understand critically it's shit, but personally it's what I like" which is not only the correct mindset to have but a mature one I expected Mike himself to have, which is why I found it odd he was butting heads with her over it so much, like he was being stubborn just for the sake of it. I do really doubt it had anything to do with her being a woman though, if anything it might have been just cause she was a guest.
I get the point he was trying to get across to her but he did it in such an odd way. He was saying the movie wasn't even watchable as a movie because it's the equivalent of disjointed noises trying to be a song. But that's like saying dubstep isn't real music because it sucks. Some people like it and it's whatever, but there's effort put into it it's not just complete nonsense. No reason to get worked up about it. People like different things and it wasn't a literal collage of disjointed film clips like he tried to say it was. It was just a bad movie that Gillian happened to like.

Isn't part of the reason she stepped back because they had a kid? Plus I'm sure the constant stream of "hey, you're kind of cute, and I mean that in a non-creepy way..." creepiness probably made the decision easy for her. Let's face it, RLM is making money with or without her, so she doesn't really NEED to be there.
I thought Jessi ran the office stuff and merch for them though. They don't "need" her but she seemed to be providing some service outside of appearing on panels and prerec. Them having a kid has never been confirmed but aren't birth records public? I'm sure if some creeper wanted to confirm once and for all they could go down to milwaukee county records department and look. It's easier to just not care either way. They have their reasons for keeping their private life private.

I don't know if any of them are their kids, but whose kids are these?
Jack's son Jackson and Parker. Because of course he named his kid myson and parker packard.

I heard a weird thing on their creepy subreddit about Jessi using Patreon money to buy jewelry for herself or some shit? Anyone know anything about that?

Mike's hatred of 'What's Your Number' seemed to be less "all romcoms are irredeemable trash" and more "this one's irredeemable trash". At one point Gillian brings up that she sometimes doesn't mind a predictable love story where you just know the two leads are going to end up together and Mike responded with something along the lines of that'd be fine if the characters were interesting and likable.

Yeah, I think something a lot of people forget is no one actually chooses what they like, that's why the term "guilty pleasure" exists. As long as people have the self awareness to recognize they happen to be enjoying shit, there shouldn't be any issue. People who believe "I like it, therefore it is good" are the true scum.

Nah. The worst specimens are "I dont like it, therefore it is objectively, intellectually, and morally bad, and everybody who likes it is subhuman trash" types.

And the absolute vilest subset of this group is the "I have been told not to like it, therefore it is objectively, intellectually, and morally bad, and everybody who likes it is subhuman trash" strain

A meme that probably started on /tv/. The story goes that in one episode Jessi was wearing jewlery that looked like it was made of gold/looked expensive. Then someone popped up with a story of how they lived in Milwaukee and saw Mike and Jessi go to an expensive jewlery store. That ofc immediately translated into Mike buying shit for Jessi using Patreon money. All bullshit ofc, since you can see in the episode in question (I foget which one, but there aren't too many Jessi eps if someone wants to go looking for it) that the necklace is just a regular cheap piece. And taking the word of some anonymous faggot on a Mongolian throat singing forum is certainly trustworthy and correct. It's like the video of some dude punching some thugs and people saying it's actually Mike. Completely made up for a meme that's fun to trick people with. The story still went on to live a life of its own and once the Star Wars autism dies down, you can go make a thread on /tv/ about RLM and ask about Jessi. 100% guaranteed someone will bring up the story.

Ah, thanks! Also, another thing that is stupid about this: the guys' salaries are paid with Patreon bucks, right? So the escalando is Mike buying jewelry for his girlfriend that he paid for with... his money?

Right.

But it would be something nice for a woman, so of course it makes /tv/ spergy. I figured it was bullshit, just wanted the scoop. Damn. /tv/ is so creepy. They make us look like Rhodes Scholars. And no, I will not be going there any time soon.

I'm just imagining the kind of tacky costume jewelry a fat Milwaukeean like Jessi would wear. There's no way she'd be breaking the bank with her tastes.

Obviously you've never heard the legend of Rich Evans's diamond, platinum, and creamy jade Prince Albert piercing.

No but that fat Milwakeean broke Mike's bed instead. :(

Again, that was Rich Evans.

Right.
Exactly. I think a lot of people presume that when you're giving a monthly donation to your favourite content creator on Patreon, every single thing they then use the money for has to be related to their line of work. So in RLM's case, cameras, sound equipment, shit for their sets etc etc (+rent). But everyone forgets people like to, you know, treat themselves. And since Patreon is their primary paycheck, they are perfectly in their right to do with the money whatever they please. It's not mine anymore, it's theirs. I get that it can be shitty seeing some dumbfuck then go over the top, stop making content and use the dough to buy stupid shit like their 5th house, but stop supporting them at that point. You have a ton of power over these people.

Mike and Rich did buy expensive golden suits to match each other at social gatherings from The Portley Gentleman's Used Clothing Store for Large Men in Jersey using Patreon money, those cheapskates.

I know this because I SOLD IT TO THEM.
