Because I need the autism ratings...

SFDebris and GoodBadFlicks have both talked about how they turned to their review videos full time after losing their day jobs.

It's actually kind of interesting stories. Cecil legit seems to be enjoying himself and I think part of it is because he loves to find out the stories behind the films he watches.

I sort of the know the story with SFDebris (he used to be a teacher and his wife has dissociative episodes) but I know next to nothing about GoodBadFlicks despite tuning in every so often. Are there links to places where they lay that stuff out or is it just one of those things you have to wander into?

Sfdebris has talked about it in his Patreon posts and monthly Q&As.

Cecil talks about it.... here I think.

Also to try and nail the coffin shut on the burnout thing...

Truth is, no matter what you do, that burnout is waiting for you. If you're at a miserable job, of course it'll show up right away. If you're doing what one would consider an easy job?

Just wait. Its on its way.

Jack mentioned that they broke up in a Pre-Rec stream.
People keep repeating this source but there is no video of it happening. I'm not sure this ever actually occured. Someone said it did and now everyone repeats that as fact without the proof. Seeing as how Jack gave an "official" reason on a widely available prerec clip, the evidence of him saying "they broke up" would exist somewhere. It doesn't. Same with that supposed clip of Jessi being fat or Jessi talking about weed. Without any proof it's just made up lore that gets repeated ad nauseum.

Are you telling me you literally watched every minute of every Pre-Rec stream?

Nope, I haven't watched the majority of prerec. Have you? But they're all on youtube, probably edited. If there's a clip out there of Jack actually saying that it would have made the rounds or been discussed. There's no mention of that bombshell during the time these were actually streamed in any of the forums that were discussing them that I've seen. It's something that popped up later. The RLM fanbase is autistic as fuck, they'd have the receipts on something that big. They may very well be broken up, it makes sense. When Mike's address was doxxed (both times) it showed him and Jessi together at their old art-partment but only Mike is listed as owning the new place. That's not really evidence of anything though either. But the way I see it is, why would they keep a breakup so hush hush? People break up all the time, it happens. It makes more sense that she's keeping a low profile because they have a family or something. I have no horse in this race, I don't give a fuck either way. I just like to keep facts straight.

Edit: Ok I did manage to dig up the fat Jessi pic people talked about. But a different post calls it Rich's sister so who knows.
Edit Edit: It is in fact Rich's sister and not Jessi.

Searching for their alleged son "Ethan Andrew Stoklasa" brings up search results in strange identially generic themed forums called credforums and supforums. Now I'm less interested in RLM and more what the hell those forums are and why it feels like a 3 digit SCP.

It's procedurally generated spam with randomized name combinations. Plug a phone number into a search engine and most the results will be the same sort of thing.

Those are AIDS infested archives of 4chan threads, all curated by bots. The Ethan Andrew thing was another weird piece of lore someone somewhere made up and everyone latched onto it.

This is one thing I love about RLM. They keep themselves so aloof, that their families, politics, and even sexualities are parsed out and debated over scraps of information and hearsay. They foster worship from afar, not the creepy parasocial relationship where they tell you all their life details and gush about how all their 'community' on the interwebs is a big hugbox club.

The only parasocial relationship they have is with Macaulay.

And doing what they did in current era youtube is nigh impossible
I'd go so far as to say YT isn't even an ideal platform for their video style and format, and if YT weren't such a monolith they'd do better for themselves distributing their work elsewhere. YT algorithms favor content churn and clickbait, and unless you have friends outside the platform to give your channel a bit of a "goose" (see Contrapoints), long-form analysis with moderate- to high-quality production values and original content doesn't make the cut.

They were on Blip and re-uploaded on YT until Blip collapsed.

Why is everyone searching for Ethan Andrew Stoklasa when Rian Johnson is well known to be Mike's son?
