I don't think Rich has ever drank more than like 1 or 2 beers total in his entire life, IIRC, because his parents had a lot of ...ahem... problems with substances in the past. Apparently they're much better now, Rich's dad was on a few Pre Rec shows for example, but Rich doesn't drink because he's seen it go real fucking bad first-hand.
I believe the only time he drank was with his fiance. Could be wrong, but i remember hearing that.

Was mike so ugly then that Rich needed to liquor up?

I was promised there would be no RLM slash in this thread.

That said, it's more likely Mike demanded the nigh-lethal assault of Rich's whiskey dick.

I noticed a some weird editing mistakes in the last BotW. For example, a clip from the tape is playing and then suddenly the round table footage pops up beneath it as its still playing. Only for a second, but it was noticeable.

With how much content is coming out this month, I'm sure some burnout could be happening.
I said the same thing. There were a lot of odd choices and flat out mistakes if you weren't just watching it in the background. Mike is the one who edited and that's not usually like him. How long have they been averaging a video a week like this? I too wonder about burnout. Even if it's you're dream to be a content creator, it's only fun when it's on your terms. When you HAVE to keep up with the releases or your income takes a hit that can lead to bad choices.

They had a storm in this episode since you can hear the rain and Jay mentions it raining again, which I doubt anyone would bring up unless it was a large amount of rain. I tried to use this to find out when the episode might have been filmed. The weather data on Wunderground shows the last date any significant rain fell in Milwaukee was October 2. If we assume this is the filming date, they had at least 20 days to edit this, which is surprising given the noticeable errors. I wonder if this is an episode they had in the can a while and have been kicking around all summer then just threw out because the gap between their last release and the halloween ep was decided to be too big.

Time for Len to get his revenge mocking in.

Mike has always had a looser, more esoteric editing style than Jay. I wouldn't sweat his eccentricities.

Don't remember wich one it is, The one before the Patton one or the one before that, but there is a recent episode that had some noticeable flaws aswell, Loads of jumpcuts, dead pixels (like, when they are cutting to black, it doesnt really stay black) and stuff.

It's not slash!

It's a running gag.

Guess we can close the book on all the Jack speculation. Looks like they're still tight. I'm glad. And no signs that he's trying to get Lupa on!

This was a pretty good episode. The wheel's content was a little boring, but this had some more energy. A garbage seasonal supernatural slasher, a shitty 80s fantasy horror with a lead by a strange musician, a rare example of a Syfy style movie you can get a slight amount of mileage from. Jack's contributions were reasonable, and Rich wasn't completely missing and could contribute, don't remember a single word Josh said as usual.

Just saw the latest episode. Rich's appearance at the table discussion was nothing short of a Halloween miracle. At the end I was really hoping that Rich would reach the dock and then strip down to reveal swim trunks under his clothes, but I guess a girl can dream.

I dunno, these last couple of BotWs have seemed a little lacking to me. Not horrible at all, but I feel like the format might be getting played out, or they need to vet the movies a bit more. The editing is just weak causing the episodes to become bloated. A good portion of the discussion on the second and third movies could have been excised and nothing would have been lost.

Paused the video to take a crap, came back and saw that it froze on this

I am both scared and aroused

I adore RLM unreservedly, but even I have to admit there have been some chips in the veneer lately. The last Plinkett review wasted an ungodly amount of time on a ridiculous fan literary theory; their Army of Darkness commentary was pretty lame; and let's be honest, this last BotW being nearly an hour and twenty minutes long suggests lousy editing even without the flubs and oddities others have mentioned.

Honestly been feeling like that for me for awhile now, wanna say maybe starting with the first Black Spine.

Black Spine is such a terrible idea that the things they've done to fill out the episodes (the spotlight on Partners and playing Junka) are more entertaining than the discussions.

The editing on the Junka segment was legitimately fantastic, so I know they still have it when the material is there.

Maybe the material isn't there anymore, they've done almost 100 of these fucking things over nearly 7 fucking years in January. Probably about time to put it to rest and get something else going.
