Well, the original novel is actually pretty fascist, just not in a deliberate way. Regardless, most people who say the movie is Nazi propaganda don't even know there is a book. They just see clips from the movie and think because it presents a comically militant society of jingoistic thugs then it endorses that kind of behavior. We aren't dealing with smart people here.
My experience: I was on a discord with @6 ex-military (and socialist) persons. They all agreed on UBI, medicare for all, eliminating the electoral college, and every other californian catch-phrase. Weirdly, they fucking LOVED Starship Troopers With a PASSION.

When I mentioned how the movie was actually highlighting the nonsense of an overreaching, authoritarian, industrial-military neofascist society - they lost their minds. I made my points about how miserable the characters were portrayed, and the personal tragedies that were glossed-over. I linked the RLM video for good measure... and I was labeled a Nazi-along with RLM.

Be careful linking RLM vids. Radical lefties (even those in the marines) will call you a nazi. Not even joking.

that's pretty old news. Liking RLM has made you a crypto-nazi to certain segments of the internet ever since they made fun of the 2016 Ghostbusters movie.

They weren't friends to begin with if they reacted like that.

Before the Ghostbusters remake Half in the Bag video, the radical Left still liked RLM. Although, and this is true, they preferred edited videos of the Plinkett reviews that removed all serial killer jokes and segments. Once the RLM crew dared to dislike the shitfest that was the Ghostbusters remake they were dead to the radical Left.

Which is really fucking funny, because they've been liberal cuck shills to other segments of the internet ever since 2015 when they said they liked The Force Awakens.

Then they kind of backtracked on that like most people once they realized it was a soft reboot. Plus they like to make fun of SJW's. Also, Mike is not a fan of Obama.

TFA held promise after the prequels but now they don't hold it in such high regard due to the sequels and how nothing panned out.

Also, Mike is not a fan of Obama.
What evidence is of this?

You say that, but post any RLM opinions on /tv/ and you'll get a swarm of (You)'s telling you they're shills, that the Plinkett Test is nonsense, and that the Prequels are actually brilliant. There's still a lot of salt over how they never hated Nu-Wars as much as they "should have".

RLM doesn't get angry about movies, which pisses off a lot of people for some reason.

They do get angry but they channel that anger into something productive

Look at The nerd crew episodes, they clearly hate those people which is why the satire is so spot on, especially the episode about all the Streaming Services.

I'm referring to the RLM crew and not the fanbase. Josh is an exception(al individual).

Getting angry at shady business practices and braindead consumerism isn't quite the same as getting angry at a movie itself. The only time I saw them treat a movie with genuine, scathing contempt was when they discussed Jack and Jill because it was a blatant commercial scam.

RLM avoids turning movies in political battles, instead opting to mock people for engaging in that behavior. Jay calls Brie Larson out for her manhate in one moment and rolls his eyes at the "MaRey Sue" criticism in another. So Opinion Internet on both sides hates them.

What evidence is of this?

It was unearthed on the RLM Reddit (yeah, I know). Dedicated autists found Mike's YT channel where he hosted music videos and concerts he shot. They also found a comment he made under this account being critical of Obama. Mike locked down his YT not long after it was discovered and this is one of the reasons why there's little in the way of direct interaction between fans and RLM now.

I believe the RLM crew is universally blue. Not because of any projection or reverse TDS, but because of the MINOR slippages made through the years. The most blatant was when Jack and Rich played Mr President! in 2016 (?) on Previously Recorded. Looked for the video for 2 min, couldnt find it. It's kinda old now.
Rich said something about how sick he was of the election rhetoric, and made a joke about voting for Trump. Jack got kinda triggered and started saying anti-Trump stuff. So, yeah, Rich is probably a center-left (due to his health issues sans health care and being a You-Tuber ex-Chicagoan), and Jack is hard left. Jack also mentioned several times how amazing his Little Autist is. Why we need to know this is beyond me (fund my Patreon, smash that Like).

I try to ignore this flummox, but it pisses me off every time I see Jack. Also, watch Jack's T-shirts for the odd slogan.

Reminder that there is a youtube channel entirely dedicated to making what I can only call Plinkett fan fiction because the creator is asshurt they didn't spend a month screeching like everyone else when the Last Jedi came out:

I would say the channel was (1) inspired by Mike and (2) had his own opinions regarding those movies. I can understand being disappointed that for the Force Awakens review Mike spends an hour talking about the circle theory and Mike paying lip service to the spin off movies.

Look, Rich needed a new boytoy and who are we to deny him?

So Len Kabisinki and Samurai Cop are the two ideal guests?

Math checks out.

Whilst I don't recall saying anything like that, I liked Len as a person, but it was uneasy watching him.
Regardless, I just think your boyfriend Culk-kun was boring. I don't hate him or even dislike him, he's just eh, personality wise. A lot of actors are amazingly eh personality wise. I find it more amusing that some people find this opinion almost blasphemy though.

Patton though, is a flaming retard - he has some "personality", but he's someone who I can say I personally dislike.
I'm not going to watch something with someone I personally dislike, just because they might be mildly entertaining.

You say that like those are bad things.

The channel knows what it is and doesn't put on airs. Like a certain other filmaking crew we once knew...

Remember this video?

It's so fucking unfair the way those assholes play it.

They gave James Rofle shit over Ghostbusters 2016 too and in that case he didn't even dislike the movie, he just said he didn't care enough to see it.

There was also that post from based Gilchirst's old forums where he called Tina Fey a liberal cunt. But I don't know if I dreamed it but I swear /tv/ dug up that he and Jessi were registered democrats from one of those public records sites. Mike seems like a swing voter. Probably not right enough to vote Trump but not left enough to vote blue just because.

In several HitB videos, there's a small but conspicuous photograph of Ronald Reagan above the shelf. However, this is probably just an oblique reference to Samurai Cop.
